Water, or Suiton, is one of the five basic elements in the Naruto universe. It allows the specified user to manipulate the water around them, some can manipulate what is already existing and expel it from their mouths, and for some superior shinobi to produce it from nothing by developing their own chakra into water. It can be used both as an offensive technique which does damage due to its force that it exerts on the target, causing internal damage. While it can also be used as a defensive or supplementary technique to block off other jutsus. It is one of the most versatile elements, as it can do anything from changing its shape and its state, such as solidifying during the process. It is more common amongst shinobi of Kirigakure

Water is strong against fire as it extinguishes the flames coming towards the target, however powerful fire jutsu will collide with the water jutsu and cause evaporations. Furthermore, Water is weak against Earth. A good combo would be to use Wind in conjunction with Water. To increase the concussive and overall destructive power of the latter, some say it could also be used in conjunction with Lightning, but a potential drawback of this is mass electrocution to the user :p. Water is a component of the kekkei genkai’s: Mokuton, when used with Earth; Hyoton, when used with Wind; Ranton, when used with Lightning; and Futton, when used with Fire.

My favourite technique would be

(Kirigakure No Jutsu) - Hidden Mist Jutsu
Rank: D
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short/Mid
Chakra Cost: 10
Damage Points: N/A
Description: The user creates a thick, dense mist that covers the surrounding area.
As this is a way of sealing your location from the enemy. Hence, increasing your chance for a surprise attack. However, users with the Byakugan can see through the thick mist...

Finally, three users of Suiton are: Tobirama Senju, which was acclaimed as one of the most stabilized Suiton users in history, since he could create water with no pre-existing source. And was capable of performing many jutsus that required a massive amount of hand seals, in just one; Kisame Hoshigaki, who was praised for his shark-like attributes. Manipulating his water into sharks that would attack his enemies, he could also alter the battlefield, forming a giant dome of water to increase his advantages when in battle; And finally, Zabusa Momoshi, who was feared for his silent killings while using the Hidden Mist Jutsu, he was also able to incorporate many clones to use different water jutsu’s, and showed proficiency in attacks which were large-scaled and highly destructive.

Is that good enough Sensei? :D

Extremely good answer. O_O
Keep it up and you will learn quite a deal during this training.

Now, here is the template I want you to follow through this training.

PHP:
Description of you performing the technique:
Weaknesses of technique:
Strong points about the technique :
Image of the technique :
Let's begin ( we will be doing two techniques at a time ):

(Suiton No Jutsu) - Water technique
Rank: D
Type: Supplementary/Attack/Defence
Range: Short-Mid
Damage Points:20
Description: Creates small waves of water, small blasts, and small shields of water.

Now, this water is basically the root of all water jutsus. It's the principle that you will use for every water jutsu we will go through during this training. Go to that lake over there *points at a lake* and hop into it. Once there, I want you to slowly, but carefully, release chakra through your pores and infuse it into the water of the lake. Once you managed to do so, I want you to try and manipulate the water to do your bidding. Of course, this only works to a certain degree, so don't expect it to allow you to do things like a water bender. :p

For starters, try making small waves of water. Then release a small water blast and finally make a consistent but rather small shield of water.

(Kirigakure No Jutsu) - Hidden Mist Jutsu
Rank: D
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short/Mid
Chakra Cost: 10
Damage Points: N/A
Description: The user creates a thick, dense mist that covers the surrounding area.

You said it's your favorite jutsu, so let's put that to a test. :p
Go ahead and release your chakra into the air and try to create a thick, dense chakra-based mist out of the blue. Due to the chakra in it, no dojutsu other than the byakugan will be able to see through it. Try to make it so thick, that you won't even be able to see your own hand. ^.^

^^ Thank you Sensei :D

Alright, let's begin...

Description of you performing the technique: I walk into the lake and concentrate on releasing chakra through my pores, I then infuse it with the water in the lake, I then begin to experiment my manipulation of the surrounding water. I first distort the movement of the water by creating an amount of small waves in front of me. I then concentrate a large amount of water at one specific area, until the water begins to shake. I then release the mass concentration which creates a small blast and sends the water flying. Finally, I do both of the above; By concentrating on the water in front of me, and distorting of the movement. I raise the water to create a shield.

Weaknesses of technique: This technique requires a water source and an amount of time for the user to release chakra through their pores and infusing it with the water. This gives the enemy a substantial amount of time to attack the user; Furthermore, it is among the weakest of Water Jutsu's and can be beaten easily.

Strong points about the technique : It will give the user an advantage when inside the water with the enemy, as it is a great substitute for projectile weapons and can be considered as being used for artillery attacks. This can also boost up the users defense, as he/she can manipulate the water around them to block against weapons such as explosive tags.

Hidden Mist Technique

Description of you performing the technique: I stand in the middle of the water and concentrate on the Suiton chakra in my body. I swiftly channel it outside and infuse it with the air particles to produce a thin layer of mist in the air. I then proceed to release more chakra which starts infusing with even more air particles. Enhancing the mist from a very thin layer to thickly dense. I release my hands into the air and, in confusion, can't make up of where they really are :p

Weaknesses of technique: This is a jutsu which could be considered a no win situation, if the user is not skilled enough to successfully reveal the location of his enemy, both the user and the enemy would find trouble in engaging fights. Furthermore, if the enemy wields a Byakugan, then he/she can see through the thick mist and the tables would be turned, giving an environmental advantage to the enemy.

Strong points about the technique : It's not the jutsu itself which is considered to be a death threat. But it is how the user interprets it with his techniques. For example, it is a start of a great potential outcome since it conceals your location, it is also a great way to commit silent killings, by engaging in close-combat fighting and when used in conjunction with the silent killing techniques, helps increasing the attack and chance of a successful kill.

Question: If I was to have a Byakugan, would I be able to use Hidden Mist and activate my Byakugan to give me the advantage of knowing where my enemy is?

Great job. O_O

You got it perfectly and regarding your question, yes. That's exactly why a byakugan user can be so frightening.

In our RP, the following jutsu is seldom utilized but it may prove to be a handy jutsu in the right situations.

(Suiton: Mizu Kuri No Yaiba) - Water Style: Sword of Draining
Rank: D
Range: Short
Chakra cost: 10
Damage Points: 20
Description: A technique that utilizes water to create a sword. The sword can be wielded in the normal fashion, allowing the ninja to cut and stab like with a normal blade.

This one holds a strange similarity to our first jutsu so grasping how to do this one should not take long whatsoever. Infuse your chakra into the water, manipulate it into creating a sword and then maintain your chakra circulation throughout the sword, allowing the shape to be maintained.

For C-ranks, you will need to push your limits a little further.

Suiton: Suikōtoppa) – Water Release: Water Shark Breakthrough
Rank: C
Type: Attack
Range: short
Chakra cost 15
Damage points: 30
Description: The user will create a water shark to jump into the air and bolt towards the opponent, striking them.
Note: Requires a water source.

Again, focus your chakra into the water but this time, you will need to shape MUCH more water than you're used to. Without flailing or losing concentration, I want you to shape the water into a perfect copy of a shark, which will then jump out of the water source and attempt to eat your enemy. This one will be quite useful as long as your opponent is in the water, so watch out.
