So while we're discussing stuff here, can I just ask something? Am I the only one who can't for the life of me see the point of this war arc?
I thought Naruto would end after Pain died - A super powerful being that could crush one of the major villages by himself, the man who had the legendary eye powers of bla bla and the man who was Jiraiya's student gone rogue, just to be smacked around by Naruto in a lengthy fight with some genuine emotion added into the mix.
Naruto then returned to the village a hero. Finally, everything he struggled to achieve as a kid has finally come true. He also met his father and Tsunade is nothing but a vegetable, so the throne is ripe for the picking right? As soon as he finishes the business he has with Sasuke, Tobi and Danzo.
Wouldn't that have made for a better final arc? Maybe the Konoha 11 could have dealt with Root, while Naruto went out to save Sasuke from Tobi and then they both head back while some romantic music is playing in the background and the sun is setting and everything is lovey dovey.
I might exaggerate but doesn't that sound like a better idea for a conclusion of this series? Why on Earth is this war happening? What does it contribute to the story? Everything that needed to be said has been said already, so why do we have to see 'fodder' getting killed faster than EA can publish unfinished games? Why did they have to introduce the 'Ten-Tails'?
Please convince me, because I honestly can't see the point of Naruto after the Pain Invasion arc.
