Ok lets stop and think about this...
People who have had Rinnegan.
Sage of Six Paths
Madara
Retardo (Obito)
Nagato
Sage of Six Paths mastered the Rinnegan to its fullest potential.
Lets talk about Madara. Madara said he unlocked the Rinnegan shortly before death but he could have been BSing or the time frame could have been a little exaggerated. We saw him sometime before his death with Retardo and he had already given his eyes up to someone and everyone is assuming it was Nagato. Madara never had the time to truly master the Rinnegan and all of its techniques. I'm not saying he didn't learn any, because he would have had to learned to summon the Gedo Mazo obviously and the absorption path to absorb Naruto's Rashenshuriken. And its my personal theory that all that the "Meteriote technique" is, is Bansho Ten'in pulling down a rock from the space (which Nagato Knew as well and showed us during his fight with Naruto and his orders were not to kill so he didn't use a huge meteor). We have not seen Madara use any more of the base (non elemental) Rinnegan tech's right? And although he had some Hashi DNA he did not have the entire body of a Senju so he was not as powerful as the Sage of Six Paths. Madara is Powerful because he has full mastery of the Sharingan, battle experiance,(apparently) wood style, and Edo Tensei haxxx.
Retardo has seen the Rinnegan in action for quite some time but you can't copy doujutsu with the Sharingan to you can't say when he got the Rinnegan he could just use all of his techniques. He has half the body of an Uchiha, half a body of weakened Senju cells, and is surrounded by a cask of weak Senju cells. The Rinnegan he has is on the side of Uchiha cells therefore won't have its full potential. He doesn't have Senju body and Uchiha eyes in the same body so he will not have the immense power and chakra of the Sage of Six Paths. He had an extremely limited time with the Rinnegan potentially only having the time to reproduce the Six Paths of Pain Jutsu and to control the Gedo Mazo We have not seen any other Rinnegan Doujutsu Techniques from him (or correct me if I'm wrong).
Nagato had the most time with the Rinnegan and therefore had the most battlefield and training time. Nagato unlocked seven paths to the Rinnegan and was very adept to putting them to use on and off the battlefield. The only reason that he was defeated was because he chose to sacrifice himself. Madara gave the Rinnegan (or so its implied) to Nagato because he had the body of a Senju or Uzamaki which has the same lineage therefore combining Senju and Uchiha much like the Sage of Six Paths which caused him to be unbearably powerful and have immense chakra. Nagato is the closest thing we have seen to the Sage of Six Paths but was cut short of his very long Senju DNA filled life.
Well I'm sure every other post will be Didn't read but your wrong but its a lot to read but worth it.
Anyone agree?
And no I am not stating the fact that any one of these characters could take on each other or that any one is better than the others.
So no Versus threads in here or assuming I am a Fanboy
