The time when Sasuke fought Naruto he wasn't so evil back then. Only hating Itachi so he had nothing against the leaf. Now Naruto represents leafs oppression on Uchihas.

What Itachi didn't intend though, was for Sasuke to use his *meaning Itachiss powers* power to attack The Leaf. If he would if known that Sasukes' goal was to attack the Leaf, he wouldn't of given Sasuke those powers. It's simple.

You do realize Itachi planned all of this right? Even dying at Sasuke's hands, he had been sick for a long time and was prolonging his life by taking medicine and pure will power, just waiting for Sasuke to be ready to face him. By the time they fought Itachi was practically blind and was weakened, he knew he was gonna die but he knew that he had to drain all of Sasukes' chackra so that Oro would take over and at that point He could use The sword of Totsuka to seal Oro.

He did plan and he knew Sasuke would get MS after that, it was all because of Itachi's plan.To top that off now Sasuke is using Itachi's eyes and in my opinion that qualifies as being handed a huge power-up no?

Yes I agree, I was just saying that Itachi never intended sasuke to have MS in the first place. Sasuke activated that MS by learning the truth. I'm only talking about the specific moment of activation. That's all, other than that it was basically handed to him.

Sasuke's whole pursuit of Itachi was little more than a joke. Sasuke was under the impression the entire time that he was going to kill Itachi, which he eventually did. However, Itachi LET Sasuke will him; Itachi never intended to kill Sasuke. Itachi planned from the very beginning for Sasuke to kill him. Itachi only pushed Sasuke so far in their battle in order to rid him of Orochimaru. In other words, everything that Sasuke has done in the series up to Itachi's death was planned out and cannot be attributed to Sasuke in any way. We can further break this down:

1. Sasuke surviving the Uchiha massacre - Because of Itachi.
2. Sasuke awakening the Sharingan during the Uchiha massacre - Because of Itachi.
3. Sasuke's motivation while in the academy is driven by vengeance - Because of Itachi.
4. Sasuke's pursuit of Orochimaru in order to get stronger - Because of Itachi.
5. Sasuke's motivation while with Orochimaru is driven by vengeance - Because of Itachi.
6. Sasuke confronting Orochimaru to see who is really stronger - Because of Itachi.
7. Sasuke fighting Deidara for information - Because of Itachi.
8. Sasuke not having to fight Kisame - Because of Itachi.
9. Sasuke fighting Itachi - Because of Itachi.
10. Sasuke getting rid of the Curse Mark and Orochimaru - Because of Itachi.

Do you notice a pattern? Everything Sasuke has ever done is because of Itachi.

No he did not die in front of him so that he can aweken it, when he died he was an enemy of sasuke not a close friend.

i think its not true that for MS you have kill your closest friend because itachi didn't kill his closest friend and also kakashi didn't kill his closest friend .i think for MS you required massive amount of chakra thats why kakashi take to much time for using it first time against didra but when he fight with suske it took only a second or less to use it.that's why i think itachi activated suske MS

Naruto never had anything handed to him, he worked hard for rasengan and sage mode. only exception was the 9 tails that was given to him at birth but even that needed training to perfect his control over and it was a disadvantage at times for Naruto.

What about MS that makes the user go blind and drains chakra like crazy. Even ems drains your chakra allot

The Susanoos weapons are not eye techniques. They are just items but nobody knows where they came from. But yes I have been wondering why Sasuke has 1 eye technique less than Itachi.

edit: oh yeah Sasuke has Tsukuyomi but he sucks at it
