A bit of a plot hole and/or bad decision...

I just realized this after watching episodes from the start of the war. Originally, Naruto was kept at the island turtle to prevent tobi/obito from getting the nine tails. Then, later, naruto naruto'd the kage into allowing him to fight... and proceeded to do the bulk of his fighting with clones. What the kage should have done is allow only his clones to fight and send the real naruto back to safety. That scenario would carry no risk and almost the same reward. But, of course, that wouldn't have been as interesting story-wise, I guess.

At that time, Naruto only had KCM. The clones weren't effective enough to fight against Obito and Madara. Not only that, but half of the alliance died from fighting the Zetsu Army alone and Tsunade stated that SA has to use everything they have. Had he not went to the battlefield, he probably wouldn't have BM to begin with.

But that's not a bad idea.

The clones doesn't have as much chakra and they don't last forever. Besides, they would still need someone to fight tobi, and that had to be the real naruto.

Clones can get killed easily, plus naruto himself can use more clones.

1.Wasn't Turtle island attacked when Naruto was on the island?
2.Had he stayed there Itachi wouldn't of been able to retrieve his crow and Nagato and Itachi would of been wrecking shit.
3. Because of #2 Itachi would of never fought Kabuto and released his Edo's and Kabuto would be free to send some OP Edos to the island.
4. Tobi would of ignored the clones and went for the main Naruto
5. Killer Bee would of most likely stayed behind with Naruto
6. All the main forces(strong people) would of been attacking the turtle due to the main goal being the capture of the 8 and 9 tails.
In short, they most likely would of lost a lot earlier.

It was because of his clones that the Zetsu army was defeated, though. Also, while I agree he probably wouldn't have gotten BM in my scenario, that's not a good reason for why the decision was made to allow his real body to fight. I agree that events wouldn't have occurred in the same way, but you don't make a decision based on what will happen in the future, because you can't know that... you make decisions based on what you know at the time. And what I'm saying is, at the time, the decision probably wasn't the most logical one.

I still think Iatchi wouldn't of had the chance to convert Sasuke and defeat Kabuto to end the Edo spam had Naruto not left the island. If it did happen, the damage would of already been too severe.

That and Obito and Kabuto weren't 100% on where the real Naruto was after he and Bee left the island and got Nagato sealed. If he stayed on the island the war would of been way worse.

I don't think Naruto would want to sit back and let his clones do the fighting. He'd be just as riled up as his clones.
