Some of you may be familiar with the few theory threads I've posted on this site. And, I'd like to explain why it's mostly them I do.
I'm studying to become an author. And one of the things I do to improve is write and read alot of fanfiction.
Mostly, Naruto fanfiction.
Why Naruto fanfiction you ask? Because, Naruto has so much potential to be used in so many different ways. Instead of the happy go-lucky goof from cannon. Naruto could have easily become a jaded individual that went down a dark path. Because of his legacy, there are so many Shinobi profession he could have excelled at.
For instance, being an Uzumaki gives him a strong body and Kurama gives him atleast a partial healing ability. If Naruto got into Taijutsu the same way Lee did. He could advance much quicker than Lee. Lee's training works by training with weights, tearing his muscles and them healing becoming stronger each time he does so. Naruto, with his massive amounts of stamina and partial regeneration ability would heal much faster from the training than Lee and so keep tearing his muscles and healing them at an advanced rate allowing him to become even more adept that Taijutsu than both Lee and Gai.
Not to mention, with Kage Bunshin he could have mastered a Taijutsu style by making them learn the Kata and dispelling and giving the information to him. It would theoretically work because while his body would not get any stronger due to the clones training. He would receive the muscle memory of hundreds of them training with the kata of a specific taijutsu style and ingraining it into his instincts making it become second nature to him. Then all he has to do is continue training his body at the advanced rate with Kurama's healing and his massive stamina repertoire.
Or, what if someone like Orochimaru sunk his fingers into Naruto? Or what if Danzo decided to put his plans for protecting the leaf in Naruto by making him the ultimate weapon? Shisui's sharingan getting implanted in Naruto and having him go through basically anbu level training under Danzo from a young age.
So many different things could occur with Naruto, that's why i like to theorize on these things. He's just such a malleable character.
