You might think the developer of Minecraft, who sold his video game to Microsoft for $2.5 billion, would be living the dream.
"The problem with getting everything is you run out of reasons to keep trying, and human interaction becomes impossible due to imbalance."
"Hanging out in ibiza with a bunch of friends and partying with famous people, able to do whatever I want, and I've never felt more isolated."
"In sweden, I will sit around and wait for my friends with jobs and families to have time to do shit, watching my reflection in the monitor."
This is very interesting in my opinion and I understand what he is going through even though I have not gone through it on his level. We live our lives setting up goals, wishing, trying to make our dreams come true. The fun part of it is generally the experience of trying to achieve the goals, however when you have everything, It becomes boring.
What's the point of coding more games? He is already a billionaire, what good is more money to him?
Life can become meaningless because there is no motivation to improve and to set goals, anything he wants, he gets.
You no longer know who your real friends are, you have to consider that there are a lot of "friends" just trying to dig in your pockets. You are lonely because others have to work and try and achieve their dreams while you already have anything and all the free time.
What are you opinions on this?
