What makes you think that Akainu is the 2nd strongest?

Like I said, it's a hunch. I feel like he's had some really good portrayal, probably the best of any currently living character.

There is no way to measure how high Shanks' Haki. Is Haki the only trump card to defeat Akainu? What if Akainu used awakening? I dunno, but I see it the only way to kill Shanks.
