As we walk to a nearby dark secluded cave, perfect spot for a little r&r, I mean training, I want you to tell me a little about the field.

What is a genjutsu?
What are ways to trigger them?
What are ways to release them?
And whatever else youd like to add. Make it good the first time and we wont have to the scenic route.

Genjutsu is the ability to cast illusions on someone or something , from illusions ranging from walks in the park to walking through hell ,Instead of physically touching the opponent the user manipulates the flow of chakra in the opponents brain , Creating a disturbance in there 5 senses making there opponent believe that the illusion is real.


There are many ways to trigger genjutsu , Sound,Eye contact, Taste ( idk about taste though lol)




Ways to release from a genjutsu are Doujutsu , Pain , and full body surges I believe that's all the ways o_o

Your knowledge about genjutsu is alright, for the most part, but certain areas could've been explained a little clearer. Genjutsu distorts the chakra in one's entire body, not just the brain like you said, but the brain is the target most focused on. With a severed link between body and mind, the user can distort the sense of the opponent leaving them to suffer within an illusion that can be completely severed from reality or partially. There are three fields of genjutsu. Normal genjutsu, dojutsu genjutsu, and sound based genjutsu. You will be learning the field of normal genjutsu.

Now, since you forgot, tell me how you release yourself from genjutsu.......

As I talk the dark lit cave suddenly dissolves into a small cubical room with its only contents inside being the two of us.

Tell me, if this was battle, and I was your enemy, how would you discern this between reality and fake? Then, without using any form of chakra, I want you to free yourself from its bounds.

as far as releasing from this without any chakra judging by the rank one can simply bite their thumb to dispel the genjutsu ? No ?

BAKA! I say as I slam my fist into the top of your head dispelling the genjutsu you were in. First off talk in first person as if you was in battle countering the actual thing. Now use the same genjutsu on me and i'll show you how its done. Be creative and make a new change to it, heck, add some pzazz for all I care. I then fold my arms and wait patiently.

Aya releases a genjutsu on her sensei as she changes the terrain in his mind to make it seem as if there in the middle of an ocean , with miles and miles of water coming from all 4 sides , not a slick of land can be seen at all

Noticing the sudden change in scenery, I could not help but deduce that I was trapped in some sort of illusion, and response, I bite my thumb deep enough that it draws blood, releasing me from the illusion. Turning to my student I nod in approval before summoning a scroll in my hands after touching a seal. Good job. This scroll will act as your "lesson book" as we go through this training so keep it safe. Below is the key to answering the scroll, and questions are always welcome.

Description: The user makes five handseals, appearing to dissolve into a shower of cherry blossom petals. These petals surround the opponent, blocking his vision. This allows the user to mask his movement effectively.

The user first dissolves into numerous flower pedals, masking his presence, before the petals move towards the target to surround them in a whirlwind of petals further hampering their sight.
