As far as discussion, they NOTICABLY changed how this chapter went compared to how it goes in the manga. This is most likely because of where they are planning on leaving the season finale cliff-hanger which if they do it right will be EPIC AS HELL!!!!


For the most part I did like how they anime handled it (Eren's situation/transformation was nicely dramatic) except once again making Mikasa seem somewhat incompetent at moments when it comes to fighting (21:16). Gotta love how crazy Hanji is!!!!!!

I do too. Since I read the manga I knew pretty much what people were saying (though this one ended up being more filler/altered storyline).

It was a noticeable change. For sure!


They basically took the episode and made it in order to leave the notable cliff hanger for the next episode which is the finale. Otherwise had they not, this episode would have ended the season most likely.

Oh wow, they changed a lot to extend the episode and made Mikasa/Eren look worse than in the manga (WTF happened to Mikasa's role and WTF at Eren being caught under rocks). SMH. WTF Annie being captured in a net? Not pleased with this filler. :|

The Eren part wasn't quite as bad since they made it pretty dramatic.


But seriously Mikasa getting completely roflstompped by Annie was upsetting. I somewhat liked the net part because Hanji was epic, but at the same time her being caught again was odd.



But yeah I think they are planning to set up the climax here:

I am guessing the climax will be discovering the Wall Titans for the finale. Without this filler, we would have had defeated Annie this episode.
