Calling a catastrophic event overrated is very immature. It's not the number of people that died that matters. Each event has it's own death count and injuries so they all equally labelled as serious events because many people lost family members and those precious to them. To say something like that is overrated is ignorant and immature. I do hate people making dumb silly commercials or ads about 9/11 as if it was a joke and that is considered immature as well. Don't make such spiteful threads again please.

The worst part of 9/11 was the fact that it was all a plot to create an excuse for the beginning of an invasion of the Middle East, which is basically the 'birth place' of oil and other resources. The greed of US created 9/11. The poor lives lost were nothing more than sacrifices who died for nothing. U_U

They started this whole nonsense in the middle east, by first killing innocent in America on 9/11. All for the greed and petty reasons. But still people can still mourn the dead. But not to the extant that they should make a national holiday for it. I would personally just stay at home with family and remember loved ones. But then this 9/11 and the deaths happen everyday other day in the middle caused by America and their terrorist allies.

This slightly offends me but you have to realize that every one take things differently. People want peace but still seek for war.

OP is being kind of a ****. I dont know if you're from America or not but in America nobody is forced to mourn or preform ritualistic acts, the "holiday," if one can even call it that, is simply a chance for the families of the deceased and the people who were scarred by the brutal death of thousands of people to remember and grieve if need be. On 9/11 I didnt do anything special in remembrance because the incident doesn't particularly offend me but to say that those who choose to grieve for lost comrades are over sensitive and that the day should just be forgotten is idiotic.

Lmao catch me at a 9/11 memorial you know I'm only there for the food. Just saying, those people are long and gone. What will mourning about their deaths do? Bring them back? That was 15 years ago. Why not mourn recent deaths due to acts of terrorism like ISIS etc. People just want a reason to act all Pro American and gung ho I guess

Why will other countries have a national holiday for something that happened in USA?

But that doesn't mean they don't have their own memorial days or national holidays for events, they thought worth it, in one way or another.

Also do not double post please.

I didn't say they should mourn a US catastrophe. I said they don;t mourn disasters that occur on their land for years upon years. And if they do, they at least have a good reason. 3000 people lmaoo
I don't think anyone can convince me that 15+ years of 9/11 days is worth it

I think I'll do what I want, thanks :)
And you didn't really say anything constructive. You basically just called me immature and said they had a right to have a national holiday about it for 15+ years and have huge events, memorials, and get pissed when people talk bad about it. I could probably go on. But 9/11 isn't worth anything more than maybe a gift card that says "Happy 9/11!".

Get over it

man, i'm tilted my "OP pls" post didn't get the recognition it deserved. it was simplistic, eloquent, and enough for people to realize that OP is just baiting and looking for an emotional reaction

shame

anyway, you're using such irresponsible, repulsive language and devaluing the victim's grief by saying it deserves nothing more than a...gift card? regardless of how americans view tragedy, you can't just simply spit on the victims that were involved in this catastrophe just to give some bold, political statement. that's a shitty thing to do as a human being, not just as an american

and if you weren't using a tragedy and disparaging the victims of 9/11 and telling people not to grieve, you might've had a far more enticing point but your blatant "i'm right you're wrong stay mad urchin" pigheadedness got in the way of it

basically, i find how you're going about this disgusting. if you simply put out a more general statement there'd be less emotionally volatile reactions, but i'm not sure if you're smart enough to see that or your initial goal was that. so welp

tl;dr op pls

I agree....it's drawn out.

It's no need to remember it every damn year.

And I feel most people don't even care or feel anything, it's just the patriotic religion we have in this country

Exactly. No one would care about 9/11 if it wasn't for Bush making it such a big issue. He tried to make it a patriotic relevant event and ever since then white america has ran with it. One day people will realize it's stupid to constantly cry about 9/11 and move on to some other dramatized event. The victims of 9/11 should remember it in peace and silence. 9/11 is for sensitive americans

i completely agree with you. this is murica for you.... they themselves dropped nukes on hiroshima and nagasaki killing hundreds of thousands of people... not to mention the "democracy" they brought upon vietnam, afghanistan and iraq.... but well you know, to muricans there is no "rest of the world", only themselves. evreything else is EVIL like russia, iran, north korea etc....
