8th gate?

is there a way to determine if someone can use the 8th gate?

If they can unlock 1-7, its pretty safe to assume then can unlock the 8th gate.

It depends on how many you are trained to open. Guy can open the 8th, but Lee however is only trained to open the 5 gates, as it's what his body can handle. So to answer your question, it depends on how you're trained and how much your body can handle.

no what i mean is like why doesn't neji or somebody use the gates. beause they cant. but why?

its mostly some type of physical kekkei genkei if you will...cuz like, guy and do it and so can lee. we all know that guy is lee's pops or summin like that(like how we all knew naruto pops was the fourth) and we all kno guy has a bad memory..so yea...as for what determines it, imma say it like this, they wanna live thru a life or death situation and are forced to use it

It's not a kekke genkai in any way. Kakashi can open a few gates because he learned how through his sharingan when he saw lee fighting. It takes training.
