Kaguya is holding off two fighters who are individually superior to 8th Gate Gai in every ninja field, barring physical strength and raw speed (which Sasuke can compromise for via S/T Rinnegan). Even without a time limit, you'd probably need three 8th Gate Gai's to beat her, and even then it would be a toss up based on what we have heard / seen about Kaguya so far.

Not sure what three months of prep time is supposed to do here for a fist only fighter like Gai. The only hope he has here is that she underestimates him (thanks to no knowledge).
