Gai will probably take on Madara.I can see him managing to cause damage to Sussanoo in the 8 Gates,considering the amount of hype that "8 Gates> Tailed Beasts"or something along those lines.
Taking into consideration that Hashirama will have to face Gaara,Minato,Kakashi and Lee in this case as well...
I say Team1 low difficulty in situation 2.
