8 gates gai is kind of overrated. First off, the best he can hope for is a stalemate.(none of his other attacks, bar the 8th gate are doing s**t) That, combined with the kyuubis large bijuudamas(and the fact that Kurama can't technically be killed) is a recipe for disaster for gai. kurama wins mid diff.
