In the year 1453, an ancient race known as the Kinkan thrived around the middle east, scavenging for ancient artifacts known as the Eight Tokens of Maklafaj. Each token represents an element. One who obtains all the tokens obtains the power to destroy planets.

Two Kinkans are mining for the tokens.
"This is the worst!", said one of them. A lanky, tall Kinkan. The other was portly and short, estimated at weighing about 280 pounds. Sweat poured down his back as he mined.
"You...*pant*....said it.", said the rounder of the men.
The skinny man thought about his family, and how they had been tortured before he was taken away to help in the search for the mystical talismans. "Once all this token hunting is over, I'll be heading back to my family in the Northern Reigns."
"Wish I had a family.", said the portly gentleman disappointingly. "My wife and son were stabbed to death because I refused to help in the search. Of course, they ended up taking me away against my will." His name was Raj. The skinnier of the two was named after the Pharoh of the South, Sijlek.
Sijlek crew tired of digging, and shoved his tool on the ground. "I'm making a break for it!", he said.
"Don't do it, Sijlek! It's too risky! They'll capture you and rip out your insides as cat feed."
"I don't care! I'm not going to die digging for some silly tokens!"
"Then I'll go with you. We've practically lived together for years! Let's die together."
"You'll be right behind me?"
"Until the end!"
The two take off in a mad sprint for the Southern Gate. Several guards began chucking spears at them. Raj begins to slow down due to his weight. "Go on without me, Sijlek!"
"No, my friend. I will die with you."
The guards get closer as Raj motions for his pocket satchel made out of sheep wool. He pulls out a small coin with a shiny green color.
"Take this, Sijlek. It is one of the eight tokens! The Token of Nature. Take it and run as far as you can to the hills. Take it and never let ANYONE find it. It is your destiny. Remember me, rememb-..."
One of the guards throws a spear and lands it in Raj's heart. Sijlek looks up worriedly, takes the token and sprints. Luckily his long legs were no match for the guards. He escapes and runs through the endless desert in search of a place to hide the token where no one will find it.
