Nope, it's a pretty good story which was also much needed to explain many things about major characters as well as about the mess the world is in right now. We had to learn more about Madara and Hashirama as they are two very important characters and we had to see the world they came from and how they, or at least after a point only Hashirama, tried to improve it.

P.S. is it only Madara the character we have seen in different stages but throughout his life (child, teenager, adult, old man)? ha, that's somewhat ironic... especially considering the years he has been active, had he spent that time to help others, with his power, the world would had been a different place

Don't you see that the flashback are telling you a very important point? When you have two people of equal power and skill, History and the cycle of Hate keeps repeating it self over and over. The lesson is the cycle must be broken to progress to the next stage. Naruto must be more powerful than Sasuke and defeat Sasuke so the cycle doesn't repeat it self in the future generations.

But Hashirama was stronger than Madara, yet the hatred remains. Also, we get that part already because Kishimoto has been emphasizing it since the beginning. He should make the pacing faster to provide us with more clarification/content since this is just a flashback after all.

Not the way that their last fight ended,Had Hashirama killed Madara or prevented Madara from acquiring His cels the Cycle would have ben broken. But was not and it keep repeating it self and Now its up to Naruto to break it.

I TOTALLY love the latest manga. From the flashback we can learn their past,the friendship and the history. i guess im truly narutotard or something,because I barely complain about the character,the plot and the flashback.

to me,naruto is nothing without flashback. There would be no minato's fan without flashback. there would be no itachi's fan (i mean,after knowing the truth) without the flashback. Kishi doesnt have to skip any part of the chapter,nor the page,because it's awesome the way it is. the detail,about friendship, laugh and pee or whatever things u dont like, those are all awesome.

I Don't Know if anyone realized but Hashirama is as powerful as Madara, who was said to have taken out a few adults within the Senju clan but Hashirama hasn't once been seen to use his signature wood element yet.

On topic this chapter was a bit slow and Kish could have used without some pages but the big picture was seen. Hashirama's dream of creating a village to protect and grow shinobi did come to light. The irony is his grandson died the way his brothers did.
Madara maybe after the death of his brother changed him. Then after the defeat of his oldest rival currupted him to this point. The idea of these chapters is to show that even the great evil Madara was at once an idealistic person that wanted change but life struck him to hard.
