A hokage is supposed to be a leader of the village.. Itachi didn't become a chunnin (which you're supposed to show skills good enough to lead a small team) untill 10 aka when he became a chunnin, and 10.5 when he became anbu

fact 1: Oru didnt fight itachi, he simply tried to take his body and was caught in a genjutsu. It was no fight nor did oru try to kill or defeat itachi. It was a small skirmish.

Fact 2: Oru was defeated in a encounter he didnt start, and didnt have his ninjutsu, and wasnt prepared. Itachi simply stabbed him and sealed him, it wasnt Full fledged fight.

Fact 3: Who is still alive and who is dead?

Fact 4: Partly Because of Oru (kabuto) Narutoverse is ****ed up the way it is.

So please dont overrate itachi. He simply studied all the time and gained allot of wisdom. Any ninja can do that, Shikka was naturally super smart with out trying. We all know itachi is a genius, nothing new like i said.
