Age 7 itachi had reasoning aka analytical ability on the level of a hokage, thats all it says..and it shows that itachi was FAR from any normal child.. as far as we know there has been no 7 year old even close to thinking like that

I dont like these kind of threads but some people here hate on Itachi for no reason. We all knew Itachi was strong as hell, but now we hear his understanding and reasoning was at Kage level when he was 7 years old?! Thats just insane!!! You gotta admit that!!!

reasoning like a hokage means that the hokage loves the village deeply, is willing to die to protect it, and all that. which was already pretty evident from everything tobi had said about him. the one thing i need to reconcile is why itachi told sauce to gain the ms when he knew that it would drive sasuke crazy and had already lost his family and brother. perhaps he was banking on sasuke's love of the uchiha or something?

anyway, minato showed the same thing when he saved kushina from those kumo jounin when he was still in the academy no? i don't see what all the fuss is about really.

Eh, no reasoning has nothing to do with simply loving the village.. I posted a definition of Reasoning..

yeah it does- kids don't learn to put the village first and foremost until they mature, while itachi did. look at naruto for example, his reason for wanting to become hokage was first self-centered and then more altruistic, now he's ready to be hokage.

you're right about that minato bit though, iirc the anime expanded more on minato than just the red hair bit but the manga didn't.

that said, there's still no explanation why itachi knew full well about the uchiha's curse of hatred yet spurred sasuke down that path. it's curious that the bond that spurred sasuke to become much stronger is the one itachi made sure he wouldnt have (love for his brother), so i'm not sure exactly what bonds he meant him to keep.

i don't doubt that there are a couple of people who do think so but yeah the hype is mainly about itachi's genius and mindset, which was incredibly advanced for his age.

What was similar with a Hokage was his reasoning and his way of thinking as in protecting the village type of thing that all the Hokages had, not power-wise. That's what Hiruzen meant.
