Not sure if genjutsu work on gates. Genjutsu works by causing a chakra disruption. In eight gates mode, chakra can't be disrupted. The large amounts of chakra flowing through the body serve this very purpose. Amaterasu might not hit and Susanoo can be pierced.

Gai probably takes this. I don't feel like looking, but didn't Gai's Hiruduora push back Madara's susanoo? If anyone cares, they can look. Gai takes this fight IMO.

I don't doubt that Gai would put up a fight, but I don't see him winning this fight. What exactly is Gai's counter to amaterasu? Ya he is fast enough to dodge it, but he can't just dodge in a fight, Sasuke's amaterasu can coat his susanoo or be spread across a battlefield and really is pretty hard for anyone to not got hit by it, unless they have a counter.

If anything I see a similar situation as to the Raikage losing his arm. Gai cannot attack without getting hit by amaterasu, his air cannon may be strong, but I doubt it is strong enough to destroy Sasuke's sussano, he needs a physical attack.

He essentially creates a compressed air cannon when doing moves like the tiger moved used on Kisame. I said air cannon because I don't know the name of the moves, but that is what they are.

The susanoo that Madara was currently in was also quite small, also it never shows any panel with the hirudora actually breaking susanoo. It only shows a hit and an explosion. While I will concede that it likely broke susanoo, I won't concede that it would break a larger susanoo, which Sasuke does have a larger susanoo than what Madara was using at the time.

Amaterasu can be repelled by shinra tensei, onmyoudon, can be absorbed, or be sealed. I don't remember seeing anywhere that it can be blown away by any sort of shockwave other than Almighty push, however I would gladly like to see other shockwaves doing the same thing, as that makes amaterasu weaker than I though. Please show me a situation where this happens please.

Amaterasu is fire. A powerful shockwave is sufficient and this is where gai's technique has the advantage. Hirudora can create a shockwave much greater than shinra tensei.

I don't doubt that a powerful shockwave can move amaterasu, but move it off of something it is burning? That is different. Like I said, show me a pic of a shockwave other than shinra tensei that can remove amaterasu. Also even in that case amaterasu already had burned nagato to a crisp before he used it.

Also if Gai gets hit by amaterasu he can't do anything about it. What is he gonna do use one of those air cannons on himself to get rid of amaterasu (which wouldn't work anyways) to try and get rid of it? That won't work out well.

I also forgot that Amaterasu can be kamui'd away, but not really relevant in this situation.

As you can see, on his shoulder and his lower right, there are pieces missing that Hirudora broke (after overwhelming Susano'o).

Gai can easily dodge that with his speed. Sasuke doesn't have PS, he just half coated the Kurama mode of Naruto.

Again, if Sasuke doesn't use any form of Susano'o, 6th gates are enough to beat him due to his poor resistance. 7th Gate if he uses Susano'o

nagato sense it coz of rinnegan. gai dosent have rinnegan or he is not a sensory type.

again nothing showing that it beats madara susanoo and he is well there and again sasuke susanoo is more durable than that.

gai seep is useless coz sasuke even can use enton as a barrier around him.gai have no way to reach him with both things.
