6th hokage: naruto cant be

Hiruzen said he let Danzou to handle the darkness of the village, so Naruto will probably let Shikamaru handle the paperwork and politics of the village.

Plus the hokage is the strongest shinobi of the village not the smartest, he must protect the other villagers not initiate them in politics or military tactics.

Does it even matter? Honest to god Naruto Uzumaki is the king of plot no jutsu, not to discredit his achievements (they are badass and he is my favourite character) But Kishi isn't going to give two craps. He'll just make him the hokage.

And honestly... People in that universe are just going to like him. Him just being at places changes the scope of a situation. I mean what can Shikamaru do if a Pain type individual wants to screw the world over. Naruto is the master at diffusing a situation (gaara, Nagato) and coming up with peaceful, sometimes ass-pully type resolutions.

And sasuke? Lmfao... I'm pretty sure joining a criminal organization that is plotting to destroy the world throws your nomination out of the door!

If hashirama was really the strongest then madara would've died by madaras hand also if your statement is true why is tsunade hokage using your argument. kakashi and guy asude from the 16 year old naruto are the leafs strongest.

Ugh. Why do people insist on applying real world logic to the Narutoverse?
The hokage is the strongest ninja in the village. Naruto is the strongest ninja in Konoha.
The primary duty of the hokage is to protect the village. That's why they choose the strongest.
Paperwork is just something you learn to do. Not exactly hard because even the biggest idiot can sign their name and file paperwork. Plus it can be delegated to a paper bitch like Tsunade seemed fond of doing to Shizune, Kotetsu, and Izumo.
Politics aren't much of a worry for Naruto because he can pretty much bully any other kage into doing as he pleases. Plus as mentioned he will have advisors like every other hokage before him has had. Those two decrepit skin bags still aren't dead, Hiashi would be a good choice because of his influence and high birth, Kakashi would have a decent understanding, Tsunade might still live, etc. Not that we've really seen a whole lot of need for diplomacy in the series.

Dude, just being linked to the world's greatest menace ONCE is enough for you to never be considered a candidate for a legal/political position. If any dude joins a terrorist organization would he ever be given the opportunity to lead. Whether it throws away his misdeeds or not, to the eyes of konoha and the world he will never gain the upperhand on Naruto. He just can't. To the village, Naruto is their hero, the dude who saved them from complete and utter destruction (they probably don't even know how he got them resurrected). Sasuke fighting WITH the alliance doesn't change much I'm afraid.

He'd have to literally solo the juubi and kill madara himself to overthrow Naruto in any way shape or form, and how likely is that. It's not about them forgiving him, it's about him going beyond Naruto. Reread chapter 540, where Ebisu is recalling the villagers talking about Naruto's feats with gaara and so on. Shikamaru and Kakashi are legitimate candidates but please do not forget who the main character is. And don't delude yourself into thinking he won't succeed because of "logic".

I know Sasuke's actions are going to sway people's opinions. But it just appears as though Naruto will always have the edge, on paper and in the villagers' hearts.

Now, Orochimaru is a prime candidate and I will vouch for that one. Snake master would impose some much needed laws like children's curfews need to be pushed to midnight, and no more parent supervision. Justice would truly return to the ninja world XD
