At first I was really upset at this chapter , almost upset with kishi. Then I got over it . Obito fan or not (not an obito fan btw) this chapter was kinda weak . But I'm not here to talk about obito or rin or their excessive panel time lol . I feel like kishi gave a few subtle messages . I'm still certain it will be a 6th hokage and naruto will be the 7th. This is simply because he is to young , (16-17) currently I'm sure you gotta be at least 20 or something to rock that kage hat. (I understand gaara is about the same age but I feel he is much more mature and has at least a better strategical mind thus an exception was made for his age) As for my guess , I'm sure you know, the most worthless ninja on the battlefield ( not bashing just facts)
What could he possibly do in this current situation ? Nothing ! He is support for the new era ! Kakashi will make it out of this battle to become hokage , assigning naruto Sakura and maybe even sasuke their ninja academy students. It's already been hinted that Kakashi is worthy of the hat, his new lost of an eye and fodderization may leave people to believe he doesn't deserve it or just isn't strong enough. But the title is more about strategical prowess and overall intelligence . Not only that but we have to consider that with the adult konoha 11( 10* RIP Neji) firepower won't be a problem for the village. Naruto just isn't ready YET! There is no way naruto couldn't become hokage , this is what all 600+ chapters have been about . I feel like Kakashi will live obitos dream for him until naruto is ready to take the mantle .
Ps this is me trying to stretch the little bit of info kishi have us this week , I feel like he hides the most subtle messages in chapters with a bunch fluff . And once again I'm bored at work lol
