First of all, Madara wouldn't let himself be cut in two, unless it was a clone. Playing around or not, he wouldn't let the Juubi control be broken for kicks.

Secondly, Naruto is immune to genjutsu as a perfect jin.

Thirdly, Madara's reaction is way less than expected. He would not only see his arch-nemesis with the same immortality he has, he would also see his brother, the one who killed Izuna and another EMS user with Susanoo.

He should be pretty shocked.
