With every one attacking him at the same time, madara will hopefully use universal push/pull. Also he should have the ability to use human,path rigjt? Take some souls with that.. I think this is a diversion, to buy naruto even more time for that jutsu. Someone relatively important might get their soul talen. Kishi needs to get things exciting again.

if the war ends and someone close to naruto doesnt die or at least a important character like gai or kakashi dont die im done with naruto, madara cant have all that power and not use it, fuk the jubi as far as im concerned madara dont need it to take out the entire alliance, he can do it by himself with his wood clones since he has unlimited chakra
