Not the fact that tobi is obito, but his reasoning behind this war. He started it just because someone died. Not just the war every battle that has taken place happened because his team mate died. It just seems like a petty excuse. Just my two cents on it, I personally think the chapter is great 5 stars, its just obito's reasoning seems to be a little lame.

you trying to say that someone starting a war over a loved one that died is lame compared to someone starting a war for temporary power/wealth??

I agree, but I highly doubt it is the sole reason, there is more to it, I mean he dodged all of the questions before that point and then the one time he gets to take a snipe at Kakashi and make him feel guilty, he takes it.

Its more villainous to take over the world for power, wealth, all jutsu knowledge ect then to take it over just because a loved one(if you even call it that he was 13) died. Just look at it from perspective "My team mate who I was friends with died now i'm going to take over the world."

i liked the chapter however ur right if his reason is purely based on rin then its quite lame, loved ones die in naruto alot and he is the one to start a war over it so MORE loved ones die.... his logic is terrible

i don't see how hard it is to understand why he'd want to put the world to sleep so that no one else has to fight/suffer/die due to wars and hate...

not everything has to be about power/wealth/knowledge

That's what makes a villain more appealing in comparison to a hero character. Taking over the world based on the pain of loss (goku's words) is a terrible conception of a villain. People die there's no reason to ruin the world because someone you loved died.

Aren't a lot of real-life wars begun because of 1 girl - like that whole Troy War

Most wars are fought for power, drugs, and wealth. There's more reasoning to that war besides 1 girl.

actually that's what makes a villain more weak and prone to fail.. wealth/power it means nothing when compared to the conviction of a person that has felt the pain of losing someone dear to them and now wants to put an end to hate/war.

That's true in a sense, but its not what most villains have in terms of attributes. Orochimaru had those feelings in terms of losing loved ones (his parents) but that wasn't his only motivation. That's why he was more I would say villainous then Obito. He was a scary dude who no one messed with. He has literally survived every fight he has ever been in including twice with itachi.
