I listened to this 3 days ago, I didn't like it, it wasn't like their usual song but after relistening to it the last 2 days, I can say it bangs!

the hardest part imo

"*****s ain't comin' round this side
Big WAPS on the corner
Big bike, four door, real pushbike
67 pens are bustin'
Look at my chest, look how it sits right
.44 keep it safe, in skengs we trust
We don't know about fist fights"

so unique. cool, actually.

This also almost reminds me of the creativity artists had back in the later 90s/early 00s

I generally don't understand people who like rap, not to offend anyone i'm actually confused. 90% of rap has weird ass lyrics that only reference either ***, whores, thug life, or drugs. I feel like its one sided with just four topics to ever talk about, i know not every rapper sings about those but i know without doubt the majority does because i feel like its the normal easy route, no offensive. But, really, whats so special about rap like this? Is it just the beat? Or is it the lyrics? If its the lyrics i generally don't see how, its all simple and predictable.

No offense taken at all. I'll explain.

To me the beat is most of these grime songs goes hard. With the lyrics these guys use, they're generally based around the truth to some extent so when you hear it and understand it, it sort of throws you off. "Skengs in a 4 door truck and we're trying to crash it at them men". That's based off how they kill other gang members here in London. While I agree with you that it's a repetitive style, I must ask you, how many songs are not based off of falling in love or breaking up? Just to name a few of the most popular songs of the last 5 years: What do you mean? "Sorry", Despacito, How deep is your love? Ain't nobody, One Dance,Wake me up,"Unforgettable" and more.

It's difficult to name a song that doesn't involve sexual/romantic love in a core way.Does that make the whole music industry repetitive? These are the topics people seem to go with as it's the most relatable I guess. We don't hear lyrics like "I wake up to lift weights, and get that pump on" because not everyone can relate.

You're so premeditated and rehearsed. "***,whores,"thug life", or drugs"...simply because that's what REALITY is for a lot people. That's what a lot of the other side of surface dwellers(followers) are concerned with. People like you are more concerned about fantasy and other crap.

You're not better than these people who rap. I don't do any of that crap, but STILL enjoy music like that because, despite it being corruption, it's still about freedom of EXPRESSION and creativity. Rap embodies that, rather than that deluded fantasy lovey dovey globe trotter music you probably think is "real" music.

Once again, you MAKE statements, but don't actually know what you're talking about. It's not "90% rap" you're clearly just biased. You haven't listened to enough rap in your life to determine such a thing. You're just repeating stereotypes...a bunch of "he say/she say".So decietful.

He's just full of it.Speaking on something he knows nothing about. The audacity of him to speak on something he REFUSES to listen to and has nothing to do with him. Bunch of self-entitled squabble.

Oh you .... typical Dreckerplayer, it wouldn't be a discussion thread without you flying in on your high horse to insult someone for their opinion.

Dude lol what are you SJW? I literally said '' no offense'' and the person who i was actually talking to said no offense taken... you're literally the pure definition of a keyboard warrior, coming at me for literally no reason and i do believe i typed that as polite as possible... Back off my nuts dude like legit you need to learn everyone has their own opinions.

Edit: Also, for your information, i do listen to some rap. I've listened to joji/filthy frank before and rice gum before so no don't go around spreading false rumors about me not knowing a bit of rap because i do.

You don't know sh*t, buddy. As usual.

Regardless of what you THINK you were saying, it was definitely a disguised insult, at a subconscious level.

A prejudice. A "better than"...you absolutely think you're better than.Just like multiply.

Onii chan...go do some role playing, or win some contest for credit. I don't have time for your victim mentality. I deal with enough victims, already.

If you want rap that falls outside of the general topics, surf sound cloud/bandcamp, or go underground. There are hundreds of rappers rapping about more abstract topics, rap about uplifting stories or messages in their music, and everything in between. Real talk, there are mainstream rappers like Chance the Rapper, Lupe Fiasco, Tyler the Creator, Macklemore, Khaled, etc. That don't rap about those topics.

If you really want, I can link you up to a rapper that raps about anime and pop culture references, straight up. Odds are you just didn't grow up around rap, so you never spent time actually trying to listen to it. :p
