599 Question - Who is this?

I'm sure this might already have been posted today but I couldn't find it on the first two pages so I'm making the post regardless, just delete if it it's a duplicate.


On page 2 of Naruto 599 they show a bunch of people from when Kakashi/Gai were youngsters, and I'm wondering who this individual is

Reason he caught my eye is because he looks ridiculously alike to Suigestu, doesn't he? Just curious as to who he is if anybody knows.

That's Hayate. He was the one who was in charge of the preliminary round in the chuunin exam in the first Naruto series. Too bad he was killed off quickly.
