Chi finished his last back flip and shoved both of his hands back into his pockets. He lazily turned around to face his opponent. His face remained expressionless while he stared at her through the lenses of his sunglasses.
Neko: All healed up yet!
Her tone was as high and cheerful as it always is before she battles. Chi did not respond with words, he simply lifted up his shirt and revealed the abundance of bandages wrapped around his torso. After a few moments he let his shirt fall back into place.
Neko: Oh, poor little boy. I wanted you to get better for...
Chi: Cut the crap and let's get down to the things that actually matter.
They shared about ten seconds of silence and on the tenth second Chi turned around and faced the opposite direction.
Chi: Why are you wearing all black? I can't even look at you. You're so plain and unattractive.
Chi knows her weak point and that would be the slagging of her looks but he wasn't doing this on purpose as a tactic to get her mad, he was just being bluntly honest.
Taku: What is he doing!? Is he just not going to look at her?
Minato rested his forehead on the railing along with Nagare and they both depressingly said.
Minato and Nagare: Yes...
Minato lifted his head and rested his chin on the railing looking down at Chi.
Minato: He is really gifted when it comes to sensory though. Maybe he wasn't just resting in the hospital for those three weeks. He could have been doing some training of his own.
Taku: We'll just have to watch then won't we?
Neko: You aren't going to look at me!?
Her tone changed from a cheery one to one with a noticeable hiss.
Chi: That's right.
Neko: Well then, listen closely to this. By the time this match is over you will look at me, even if I have to rip that cocky little head of yours off.
Chi: I'm not cocky, I'm confident. There's a difference.
Neko's entire attitude changed. She became much more aggressive and both her incisors had grown out of her mouth, turning into fangs. All of her teeth became razor sharp and so did her nails.
A: Is that girl from a clan?
Gaara: Yes, the Neko clan. I allowed them to stay in Suna after the war. Their village was completely destroyed and the clan was nearly wiped out.
Naruto: Practically the opposite of the Inuzuka clan. The Inuzuka clan take on the characteristics of dogs whereas the Neko clan takes on the characteristics of cats.
Konohomaru: Done with the trash talking? Good. Let the second round of the chunin exams begin!
Neko started immediately and bent down to the ground speeding towards him like a cat going for her prey. Chi closed his eyes as soon as it started and listened closely for her movements. As she pounced aiming to cut the entire length of his back with her sharp claws he bent down very quickly while focusing chakra into his feet. The moment his feet left the surface he released his built up chakra in a controlled blast. He back flipped very high into the air keeping his eyes shut so as not to look at her. Feeling the position of her chakra he channeled double the amount of his own into his feet and released another concentrated blast. He soared through the air like a bullet with his knee pointed downward aiming to strike her back.
Neko scraped the ground with her claws and pushed herself out of the way performing a small spin in mid air so as to flip her around, facing Chi again. Chi slammed his knee into the ground and caused a dust cloud to form. Neko waited patiently for him to rise from the cloud so she kept her body close to the rocky surface and narrowed her eyes on his spot of impact. Suddenly she felt a small rumbling underneath her and the ground started to turn a light red colour. She immediately jolted to the right as a giant pillar of lava erupted from the spot where she was waiting. Neko felt a strand of her hair getting singed as she narrowly dodged the pillar of lava.
In an instant the dust cloud cleared. Chi propelled himself once again using his chakra and as he flew past the lava he released a blast of wind from his mouth. The wind pushed all of the lava in her direction, turning it into wave. Neko reacted by weaving one seal and spraying a large amount of water from her mouth in the form of a sphere. The sphere was massive and she kept increasing its size by adding more and more litres of water. The sphere of water easily stopped the lava in its tracks and a small steam cloud formed but quickly dispersed because Neko made her sphere of water take a hard left.
When Chi flew past his lava wave he landed on the wall of the arena, hearing the lava being extinguished he turned around opening his eyes to see a massive sphere of water flying towards him. He purposely kept his eyes on the water because he would only get annoyed if he looked at her. Chi turned and started running along the wall as fast as he could, he turned to see the shadow behind him creeping up so he jumped and forward rolled away right after the massive sphere smashed into the wall.
As he rolled upright again he activated his chakra sensory technique and sensed her chakra right behind him. Neko shoved the claws on her left hand into his left shoulder. Chi gritted his teeth in pain and held it in. Neko kept her claws buried deep in his skin, the red blood ran down his shirt in a horizontal manner dropping onto the ground below them both. She forcefully turned him around so that he could face her but he still kept his eyes shut.
Neko: That technique of yours wasn't as perfect in our last fight. You must have been doing some training when you should have been resting.
Her right hand slowly moved up his leg starting at his knee, she softly dragged her claws up until she reached his shirt. Neko ripped off a part of Chi's shirt that was concealing his bloody bandages.
Neko: You are so reckless, aren't you? Now I want you to look at me before I start playing with you
Chi kept both eyes shut and both hands in his pockets. He made no effort to look at her or attempt to fight back.
Neko: As you wish...
Neko licked her lips and straightened all of her fingers. With her hand straightened like that it looked like a blade. Neko slowly pulled her hand back and then launched it forward into Chi's side. Some gasps could be heard from the crowd as they watched Neko repeatedly stab Chi over and over again. Blood completely coated her hand and with each thrust the wound became deeper and deeper. Chi, who had been holding all of the pain in up until this point let out a massive roar. Everyone in the arena could feel his pain and this sent shivers down their backs. Nagare covered her mouth with her hand, she was terrified. Minato and Taku both gripped the railing firmly and looked on at the shocking scene, the rage building up inside of them both.
Neko: Why won't you look at me!?
Neko closed her eyes and screamed at the top of her lungs. Her hand came to a sudden stop. She lowered her head and saw that Chi's left hand had left his pocket. It was now tightly wrapped around her wrist.
Chi: I thought I already explained that. You're too plain and I don't like looking at plain things. You of all people should stand out with your cool yellow cat eyes...
When she heard him say those words the killing intent left her and she looked as if she felt comforted in some way by him.
Chi: Wear a yellow headband or something, I dunno, just be spontaneous. Then I'll look at you... One more thing. My CP (chakra propulsion) technique wasn't the only thing I was perfecting.
Neko noticed a blue light out of the corner of her eye, she turned her head and saw that his right hand was also out of his pocket but that wasn't the only thing she noticed. Chakra began rotating in Chi's palm slowly augmenting into a sphere of dense chakra floating just above his palm. Neko's eyes widened. She quickly pulled her left hand out of Chi's shoulder and tried to free her other hand from his grip but it wasn't going to happen. She wanted to attack him again, she could, but something held her back.
Chi: This'll probably be the first and last time I use this. Minato's got the hang of it now. I can't be using the same technique as him, it's too boring.
Chi grinned and slammed the rasengan into Neko's left side while at the same time letting go of her wrist. He sent her flying off of the wall and back down to the ground again. She hit the solid ground hard and rolled about ten metres before coming to a complete stop. Konohomaru walked over to her, knelt down and checked her breathing.
Konohomaru: Since Neko has fallen unconscious she's lost this match. The winner is Chi Hatake!
Konohomaru was about to call a med ninja with a stretcher but Chi tapped him on the shoulder as he walked past him.
Chi: I'll take her, seeing as I'm headed there too.
Konohomaru nodded as Chi picked her up and got her into a piggy back position.
Taku: Woah! Did you see that he used the rasengan! That was quality. Wasn't it Minato?
Minato's jaw dropped and stayed there.
Taku: What's the matter with you?
Nagare stood up straight, folded her arms and closed her eyes as she spoke.
Nagare: Minato bet Chi a fiver that he'd master and use the rasengan first. As you can see, he's lost the bet and is raging about it.
Chi: You owe me a fiver!
Chi shouted up to Minato as he walked past the viewing area. Minato slowly looked down at him, Chi didn't look happy or ecstatic that he won the bet, he just looked like he wanted his money straight away. Minato's head fell like a lead weight onto the railing and stayed there.
Konhomaru: Would the next two fighters please come down from the viewing area! Taku and Nodoka!
Taku: Oh yeah! My turn! I'm gonna kick some ass!
Minato lifted his head head and forgot about the bet, putting a serious expression on his face. He turned around and leaned on the railing, watching as Nodoka left the darkness and proceeded towards the stairs.
Minato: Taku...?
Taku: Yeah?
Minato: Keep in mind that your opponent is a very dangerous person. He's hospitalised everyone of his opponents so far. You've got to be careful out there, don't get too hot headed.
Taku: Don't worry Minato. I'll be fine, trust me.
Minato: The last time you asked me to trust you I ended up in the women's changing rooms at the hot springs.
Taku laughed loudly, then held up his fist. Minato looked at it and then up at the confident look on Taku's face.
Taku: I can do this.
Minato sighed and they both bumped fists and exchanged big grins. Taku then mounted the railing and jumped off. He landed on the ground just as Nodoka left the tunnel. They both walked over to Konohomaru at the same pace and arrived facing each other. The small talk was short.
Taku: Good luck...
Nodoka: ...
Konohomaru: Alright! Let the third round of the chunin exams begin!

The word 'slagging' means 'to make fun of' just some of my slang that always transfers into my writing as well.

Chunin Exams: Round Two!
