He did the tentacle clone trick against Madara and Momoshiki no? It removed the need for a death scene either way though.

if you're referring to Boruto the Movie then sadly I have to inform that he did survive, just going by the end credits. It doesn't make an iota of sense but canonically, it's hinted he didn't drown, survived extraction VS momo and kinshiki AND managed to return to the correct dimension. Silly but true.

Actually, with Mitsuki, Sarada & Boruto being main characters. Naruto and Sasuke are very much in the strike zone to be killed.

Now if Sakura or Hinata died. That would be some crazy shit.

Obito actually is really high up for escaping death via falling rocks, Konan's explosions, izanagi, Bijuu extraction, his mind w/ Juubi hosting etc.

Plot-wise Danzo, Suigetsu and Hidan shouldn't have been but ended up being VERY killable.

Obito also survived Rinne Tensei. :d

Ah the main cast just die EARLY, and i've never watched GoT! I assumed Jon Snow was the initial MC. .

I feel like all main characters have plot armour but it's down to the author to immerse us by hiding this fact.
