Yet another example of an opportunity lost. Hanzo vs Mifune and Dan vs whoever (I really thought along the lines he'd meet up with Tsunade... he would be best matched against her due to the connection they have... would make it emotionally difficult)... and yes you're right... not a single main character has died and that is exactly what happens in filler episodes...

Ahh yes... how could I forget... two of my favourite characters Deidara and Sasori were essentially useless! These characters were BAMFs of the highest calibre and were dealt with as if they were nothing.. Terrible... It would have been better if they stayed dead and we never saw them in such a pathetic condition... When Deidara was flying to the Turtle Island with Kabuto.. I was thinking the return of akatsuki (As Kabuto's pokémon) was going to be something great!
yes they were badass and excatly like you i thought it was cool that they came back at first because deidara could hold his own against oonoki but what they did to them was terrible they sould have stayed dead ,that is the only good reason why kisame is not revived because out of plot no jutsu they would make him look like a weakling
Lol Good analogy ! Yeah, There are somethings that iDont like about the manga but we must remember thats it's not OUR manga. iThink Kishi Knows what he's doing. Proof that he does is that you guys make these threads and still even read the manga. Why complain and you're still going to read it.

Oh come now... that's too simplistic a view... I've been following Naruto for what... 12 years?... I'm not going to give up on the whole thing because I don't like one arc... and you're wrong... it is OUR manga... the minute it's popularity drops in the japanese polls... the series will be cancelled. We as viewers reserve the right to both enjoy and scrutinise the series. Just because we read the series this means we have no right to to say when we feel like it's going downhill?
yeah i feel ya man ive been dissapointed aswell i thought we would see alot more of kakashi and the kanoha 11 2 it sucks that the only one we really saw grow out of the 11 was choji and i really hope it goes back to the madara vs the 5 kages without losing any of the fight or that will really suck and i think there will be alot of people upset about that i want to see what the kages and madara are really made ofTHE FOURTH NINJA WAR.When the 4th Ninja War began. I was very excited. I thought we would really get to see other minor character shine. For example. The Konoha 11. Back in part one, on several occasions we got to witness the skills and varying abilities of other characters during the chunin exams and the save Sasuke arc.

Now that we have a situation where all characters are on the field... what have we really got to show for it?
Kakashi had a chance to go all out and show us why they call him "The man who copied a thousand jutsu" and immediately was cut away when he was about to show us his real skill. Personally I was hoping to see why they call him Hokage material in terms of strength but again... bummed out... (I was also hoping to see him use rasengan in combat
Then we have the Konoha 11... speculated to be the next upper echelon of Konohagakure, but again... we have yet to see the majority of them display the strength they have gained over the last few years within the story. The same with the sand siblings and even the Bee's students.
Now most recently we have the 5 Kages vs Madara. This too has seemingly been cut short to favour another battle. Will we return to that battle?! I Surely hope so but I have a bad feeling alot will have happened off panel is/when it does.
Now. Naruto's new "abilities". Since gaining Kyuubi mode Naruto started out a total badass, but as time has gone on, he is proving less able. What happened to the display of speed he demonstrated against Kisame and later A? His performance against Nagato was extremely poor. Someone whose skills he should have had prior knowledge of. He was EXTREMELY lucky to have survived that. If Itachi had not given him that crow and if that crow had not worked on Itachi as it did... it would have been all over.
Then we have the fact that Naruto did no damage to Tobi whatsoever on head-butting him. Also taking a bad hit from one of the Bijuu Paths in the most recent chapter when he should have been able to dodge it. (I'm hoping all this is due to the fact that Naruto has clones running around, thus dividing his chakra making him slightly weaker)
I don't know about you... but the amount of inconsistency displayed over this arc is growing tiresome... and for the first time, I am losing faith in Kishi' as an author. If have Bleach for this kind of inconsistent inconclusive dribble.
So far I rate this arc 3/5.

This is also true. Not only was the Kakashi's fight cut short... but was was the 7 Swordsmen's and several other legendary characters.
Further to that. Kabuto summoned several Edos for "psychological warfare". This includes Asuma, Sai's "brother", Neji's father... you get the picture... yet again this side of the story seems to have been cast aside. Was I the only one to expect several grudges and feelings to be resolved... All we saw was Sai and Gaara...
Kishi has set up ALOT of content and at the same time has progressively cast it all to one side.

Not really simplistic but rebundous. You can read the series and judge all you want. What iSaid was whats the use when you're not going to change anything cause we dont write it which is what iMeant by its not our manga. Never have iSeen one time in the 12 years Ive been reading naruto kishi read what a fan Thought should happen and do it. But Like iSaid there are some things iDont like either but still like iSaid iThink kishi has a reasoning to what he is doing.THIS!

A true fan of anything is one who can be unbiased and look at the material objectively... It's the only way to learn, especially if one is looking to go into the business of story telling!
.....How did you miss Hizashi being resurected? He's been shown in several panels since Dan and Asuma were summoned and he's even facing Hiashi. Granted his fight is being ignored but it still should be obvious he was there if you paid attention since the beginning of the war.
