Did he really win or did he stab him im the back when he was off guard no kage has ever fought in his/her kage robe and isnt strange how they fought in the dessert and none of them shown any sign of a battle and based on new info on him I say he could bet them. the whole orochimaru getting help , and kabuto etc being present happened ONLY in the anime..

it was never stated how and who killed him, nor that anyone helped oro...

a common theory is that oro did it himself.. seeing that when the fourth kazekage was revived he knew oro could use edo tensei...

noone else but kabuto knew that... so how would he know unless he saw it right before he died..
