In a shocking case, at least 41 people were killed after six gunmen fired at a bus in Karachi, reports said.
The gunmen, who were all on motorcycles, fired indiscriminately at the the bus with automatic weapons and some reports suggested they may also have boarded the bus and shot at the occupants.
Of the 41 dead, 25 are men and 16 were women, reports said. There were also children on board the bus, reports said.
According to reports, the attack took place in the Safoora chowk area of the city and there were at around 50 to 60 people on the bus when the attack took place.
The gunmen reportedly managed to escape after the attack and are still on the run.
The attack is being seen as an attack on the Ismaili community since a majority of those travelling on the bus belonged to the community.
