41 Dead in Karachi

In a shocking case, at least 41 people were killed after six gunmen fired at a bus in Karachi, reports said.

The gunmen, who were all on motorcycles, fired indiscriminately at the the bus with automatic weapons and some reports suggested they may also have boarded the bus and shot at the occupants.
Of the 41 dead, 25 are men and 16 were women, reports said. There were also children on board the bus, reports said.

According to reports, the attack took place in the Safoora chowk area of the city and there were at around 50 to 60 people on the bus when the attack took place.

The gunmen reportedly managed to escape after the attack and are still on the run.

The attack is being seen as an attack on the Ismaili community since a majority of those travelling on the bus belonged to the community.

mqm is an exception..........they say that they are "muhajir" political party as they migrated from india to pakistan in 1947 but from inside they have a whole network for destroying karachi
karachi was one of the most famous and most beautiful cities of palistan but 30 years ago mqm was founded and everything went wrong
previously army raided on their "markaz" and there were rifles pistols and rocket lounchers etc in their "markaz"
recently a police officer also made a press conference on them, he kept on saying that mqm is a terrorist party but the government is too scared to act against them as they have government in karachi from 30 years back
in 1991 or something army and police raide on mqm but somehow they are still here

Why would a political party require rocket launchers , if people are with them ? What is their motto ?

You misunderstand my points. As another person claimed that MQM is a Political Party and is believed to have orchestrated this. I am asking why would a Political Party do this ? They have been elected several times.

Of course I know there are several sects, but as let his explanation, the reason for this attack is not that.

They have been elected several times but not by votes,by cheating. We call it " dhandhli ".
As for who attacked the bus, i think they are taliban (terrorists). Atleadt that's what i heard in the news. Allah knows better

Its really a horrible incident

.........Pakistan is in war against terrorists from the past few years now....i have my doubts on MQM too but can't blame MQM without any proof but all of this is the reaction of operation Zarb-e-Aazb held by PAK army against terriorists....terrorists are on the edge of defeat in Pakistan thats why they are doing these lowly stuff.....but we all will stand firm and fight terrorists to their end....

Your questions can't be answered simply. Things like this always reveal a huge pandora box in it and many famous names are exposed due to it cuz they are always connected one way or the other, some times they cover more than a single country and these things never happen in normal conditions...only revoultionary days reveal these kind of stories....

Everyone or every group has a philosophy, right ? I am just asking, what is theirs ? Since it is a pretty old organization, its leaders must have made many political statements , preaching some of their philosophy.

I can understand what 'dhandhli' implies. We use it in local language here as well.
