Sasuke Uchiha has made some of the worst choices in the series. The guy makes Hitler look like he took his life in the right direction.
But that's besides the point. Let's run down some of his worst choices.
(1- ITACHI WILL BE MINE)
Dude. Do you know who Itachi is? He's the biggest badass in the entire Naru-Verse. And you just swore to spend your whole life dedicated to killing him. Way to go, Sasuke.
Granted, Itachi did kill his whole family basically right in front of Sasuke. That's some heavy stuff. But this is Itachi we're talking about. Sasuke should have realized, "Oh sh*t, dude just killed my whole family with zero effort, he may be a bit of a badass!" and then sat in a corner and cried for the rest of his life, in realization he could never beat Itachi.
But no, he decided to persevere! He trained and trained and trained, and got to the point he could actually fight on level ground with Itachi! Congrats Sasuke, you killed your evil brother and avenged your clan!
Except, wait a minute, oh that's right, ITACHI WAS A GOOD GUY.
Dude saved the village and exiled himself all for you, Sasuke.
(2- ...Oops, heh... VENGANCE ON KONOHA!)
If Itachi was looking down on you right now Sasuke, this would be his exact reaction.
Itachi saved Konoha from Civil War, let his own image be tarnished forever, let Sasuke kill him so he could be a hero, all for the village.
and so, logically, SASUKE DECIDES TO DESTROY IT.
You've got issues, Sasuke. I'm seeing a pattern of eternal vengance, that really isn't eternal. Maybe you should pick something impossible to destroy, so it really is eternal vengance that you can destroy in the name of the UCHIHA.
Besides, this is just a retarded decision. He honestly believed he could solo the entire village, full of shinobis that could possibly solo him. Yeah, great choice buddy. Oh and by the way, You're now a psychopath that has no issues killing children. Congrats.
(3- Ew, Girls Have Cooties!)
This almost got the top spot, because, well...
Sasuke is either a flaming asexual or mentally challenged.
I'm inclined to say both.
Here's a few women he could have had his choice of, to name a couple:
Sakura
Ino
Karin
TenTen
Hinata (Don't You Doubt It)
Kurenai
Every girl in his class
Every girl in upper and lower classes
EVERY WOMAN IN THE VILLAGE
Sasuke.
Dude.
WTF.
This may not be relative to the story, or is a victim of plot, but when looking at the character of Sasuke this is one of the dumbest decisions he's made.
(4- Orochimaru, Huh? Sounds Like A Decent Guy.)
"Oh, he attempted to destroy Konoha and killed hundreds of innocents?
Oh, he wants to take over my body?
Oh, he's one of the most evil men on the planet with no interest except growing in power?
Oh, he gave me this horrible, life-altering curse mark?
Sounds cool, where can I sign up to join him?"
Easily the worst decision Sasuke has ever made. Dude leaves his friends and true mentors (Who, BTW, probably could not have only made him more powerful but made him forget about this vengance thing) to be mentored by a psychopathic killed with no interest in him except to take over his body.
And Sasuke knows that.
So he goes with Orochimaru, learns a few new techinques, tries to kill his friends, and is groomed by Orochimaru to be his next host.
Of course, they end of duking it out, with Sasuke winning.
Now that Orochimaru's dead, Sasuke can be at peace with his new power.
But wait, turns out Orochimaru's a f*cking GENIUS and almost revives himself completely during Sasuke's fight with Itachi. Luckily, Itachi (That Badass) manages to seal Orochimaru away and Sasuke is free of him again.
But wait, a while later it turns out Sasuke is f*cking stupid and he decides to revive Orochimaru.
That's right, he wants to REVIVE THE GUY THAT HAS BEEN SHOWN TO HAVE A COMEBACK PLAN FOR EVERYTHING.
Oh, and he still has his eye on Sasuke's body. Which I'm sure he'll get. Oh, Orochimaru, you!
In conlusion:
Sasuke isn't too bright. In fact, his only talent is in fighting. Whoop-Dee-Frickin-Doo. Unless Sasuke smartens up and starts making some good choices, there is no way he is competing with Naruto.
