ok for the record im not a fan boy im basing this on cold hard facts
1 minato was trained personally under jiraiya a legendary sanin and a sage which he was revealed to be in the fight with pain. he could've taught minato how to do it.
2 if jiraiya thought minato was the child of the prophecy then why not teach him it to give him a advantage over many other ninja in the narutoverse.
3 his quick reflexes which many other shinobi don't have and i hate to say this. A, B and naruto (senin, km or bm) are the only ones that match this maybe sasuke but what i seen so far no. anyway in senin mode it is described to increase the abilities over all. maybe minato drawed on some natural energy in combat to give him amazing speeds. such as the fight with A or tobi where he just stood perfectly still and also the kunai attack on bee and how it cut throught the hachibi's tentacle. it has been described and shown before that natural energy while in senin mode increases the over all range of attack shown when naruto missed the punch on the asura's path head for only it to be blown back by a another force
4 why have we not seen the full version then izinagi? well i have your answer it is required to stand still to gather energy for senin mode. this practicly makes a sitting duck in the battle field and minato may have made a way to idk draw a little bit of energy in order to increase his abilities. besides in the fight with A he had to keep on the move. same thing with tobi they had little time to even stand still. because if he did then tobi would've won the battle.
5 why would he even need is beyound me anyways he already had a impressive set of skills and abilities why would he even need senin mode. well remember how tobirama or harishima could touch the grouind and feel enemies coming that maybe a form of senin detection like naruto did with his senin mode scanning the village.
