: Imagine the 3rd Raikage is dumped in a bathtub full of this acid unlike the minor splashes inflicted on Sakura's body. How long until he melts, if he even does?

Acid reacts with the skin and dissolves it,physical durability is useless,you have to have the chemical compsition to withstand it.

It's just a metaphor, if his body was as durable as steel, EP2 Sasuke casually cuts through him with ease which we know is not the case for obvious reasons. Taking that hype literally would actually mean he is less durable than base Kimimaro and Kakuzu.

The raiton shroud is basically a strong, chakra based cloak. It should be able to protect his body from a direct contact with the acid. Without it however he slowly gets melted.

I believe that he tanks both attacks in both scenarios.

He tanked TBB's that blow up mountains. The energy and heat released from a TBB woud certainly surpass Mei's and Kaguya's acid. Acid also attacks on a cellular level just like the Rasenshuriken yet he tanked it without a scratch. This was KCM Rasenshutiken too so it was 3x stronger than all his other ones because Kurama chakra makes jutsu 3x more powerful. I think the only thing he can't tank is Tobirama's Goju bombs.

Not really sure, none of the acids besides Mei's have really melted through something strong.

If all the acids have the same strength and properties of Mei's acid (seems unlikely) then the lightning armor should melt. My only reasoning is that Mei's acid melted through a susanoo (not sure which version) but I assumed that was of a similar strength to the raikage's lightning armor.

Without lightning armor he should get melted, not sure what hype raikage has to say his flesh alone can withstand acid.

I was just saying his skin has no protective measure against something like acid. Yes physical attacks but there is no reason he can survive acid.

Where were Tobirama's Goju bombs even mentioned? I'm not too sure if the energy comparison argument works in this case especially since we didn't see the TBB explode so that feat is more of a speculation.

Only Mei's would do that. The other acids are liquid based.

Couldnt the same be said for the acids used in NV?
