3rd raikage vs Minato

Even if Minato didn't have any help figuring out the 3rd Raikage's weakness I think eventually he'd get it. All techniques have a weakness as claimed by Itachi. Minato of all people probably also believes the same. When all his Rasengans fail he'll probably try using the 3rd Raikage's lightning technique against him on a whim. I mean, what's he have to lose at that point?
Another possible way for Minato to win is if he knows other sealing techniques. Say, a seal that removes chakra or a seal that paralyzes the target. Minato is very capable with sealing techniques as shown with his use of the Deal God Seal and his advanced usage of the FTG. It's not completely out of the question that he knew some more sealing techniques

Yeah he isnt, but hes wife is. im sure he knows alot about seals (created death raperseal). FTG works on blacklightning too, and we dont know much about blacklightning tech. im not saying its sure that minato would win, im just saying its more likely that minato could win. u have ur opinion and i have mine =)
Minato never created death reaper seal... and there is no point speculating, noone knows what seals Minato has. Minato doesn't have anything that can hurt Raikage apart from the death reaper seal and that isnt guaranteed.

2 and 2 together? What 2 and 2. The only reason Naruto was able to come up with that strategy against the third was because the 8 tails and the rubber guy told him about the battle. If he didnt think to make the raikage hurt himself, then Naruto would have lost. PLUS..dont forget, Kabuto was controlling the 3rd Raikage, and didnt know how the raikage got that scar himself. If the raikage himself was fighting, he would've been more careful. Also, I see people say things like, "Minato was smarter." Yea, Minato was considered a genious. But who's to say the Raikage wasnt? and just because Minato was smart it does not mean that He knows EEEEVERYTHING about EEEVERYONE like some people make it seem to be. I mean, lets take shikamaru..or even better, Shikamaru's dad..He's the smartest ninja in Konoha, heck, in the series...but it doesnt mean HE knows how to handle every single problem, or knows about every single thing. And even if Minato did think of turning the 3rd raikage's lighting attacks against him, who's to say that it would actually be done, and if so, HOW?
aNYWAY. So far from what Ive seen, the third Raikage, he's got the "ultimate shield" which made him immune to most attacks, rasenshuriken did nothing, so im positive minato's rasengans wouldnt do a thing. and then he's got the "Ultimate finger blade thing" which apparently can pierce and cut through almost anything if not everything. Not to mention his raw power, being able to go head to head with the 8tails, and fight several days alone against an entire army. Gamabunta would get killed by third Raikage. Not to mention his black lighting which has shown to be very powerful and wide ranged..The only thing I see Minato doing is some kind of seal, or the death god one. Some people have said, "Oh well he can use a seal that paralyzes, or one that absorbs chakra." Show me a link to the chapter where it says he can do that, then sure, but until then, NO.
p.s. Ppl say that the 1st, 3rd, 4th were the strongest of the kage..nah, they were the strongest "HO"kage..

You are correct in saying that minato would figure it out even without getting intel from dodai and the eight tails like naruto did, his intelligence feats against tobi were out of his world, like figuring out tobi's identity, and figuring a way around tobi's space time jutsu and landing a critical hit at the same time was suberb, especially if you put into consideration his unfavorable situation, with having so many other things on his mind, like the welfare of his son and wife, the welfate of konoha and fighting the kyubi too, his intelligence is really amazing and there is no doubt in my mind that he would figure out the secrete of the raikage's weakness.
BUT!!
Can we really jump to the conclusion that Figuring out the secrete = victory?
Remamber that the guy naruto fought was the raikage's BODY and ABILITIES but not his MIND and CONSCIOUSNESS...
KABUTO was the one in CONTROL, kabuto had no idea how the raikage got his scar and therefore had no way of anticipating what naruto was up to, because he doesn't know the history of the raikage.
BUT don't you think that the THIRD RAIKAGE, with his own body and MIND would realize what Minato or Naruto was up to if it was him fighting instead of kabuto?
The raikage knows EXACTLY how he got that injury, it was HIS GREATEST SHAME, are we supposed to believe that the guy, who was so destraught about that incident would EVER allow it to happen again?
Are we supposed to believe that a KAGE could be stupid enough to let something like that happen again? People don't become kage's by being stupid and the guy certainly did not seem like an idiot before kabuto took over.
That injury was his greatest shame, we all know that the rasengan resembles the bijjuu dama a lot and the raikage fought the eight tails on many occasions apparently, the way I see it, Naruto's plan only worked because he was fighting kabuto, not the raikage.
Its the same when dodai used his ruber ball jutsu to save naruto and fulled the raikage into chasing an empty ball while he hid naruto, that move soesnt work if it is the REAL raikage attacking, dodai was the raikage's tag team partner/assistant, he knows dodai just as much as dodai knows him, but kabutodidnt know shit so it worked.
But anyway I'm just speculating, just food for thought, I do not know who would win, bui I do belive that minato would have to find another way to win, the raikage was eternally depressed about that injury, or rather, the manner with which he got it, he would never in his right mind allow it to happen again I don't think, he would be too weary of a similar situation.
I think the best bet would be to seal the raikage's chakra away, like use a chakra supressing tag or seal long enough that the raiton no yoroi would deactivate and then he could injure him thenn, though that would be very difficult.
Minato was able to use his barrier arts to transport the kyubi's bijuu dama to a different location
, he was also ble to transport himself and the kyubi, so I'm thinking he pulls a jiraiya and retreats somewhere and maybe draws one of his seals on the ground or a scroll somewhere, maybe a binding seal or something, or a barrier seal that will trap the raikage there, then he comes back and transports the raikage to that place, but that
Would not be easy to get close enough to do that though, the raikage are insanely fast so he could escape before he is transported, dunno mayn, it looks like the raikage could win but therte is so much we don't know, I will give it to the raikage for now, until we see more of minato.

2) we've seen that high-powered fuuton attacks can disable the thirds shield, which leaves him vulnerable to attacks, and ma+pa both know fuutons.
3) If it comes down to it he can use death reaper for a double K.O., but I don't like his chances landing it as the target has to be subdued in one way, and the raikage is both physically faster and much stronger than minato.
4) Minato's best chance is summoning ma/pa and have them do frog song while he holds off the third. I know some may argue that the third is immune to genjutsu, but frog song is a senjutsu, and is on a different level than the mainstream genjutsus, and if it doesn't work, then minato still has the options listed above.
All in all minato at least has equal chances to win.

I agree. His battle with A could be a hint that he has wind element. Only wind is stronger than lighting. Just ask this, why would someone considered a shrewd person/a genius attempted to stab A using a kunai if he knows that he can't hurt him because of the lightning shroud? It doesn't make sense, right? Purely common sense. Minato would mop the floor with the 3rd rai.
