No matter, he still won't lose. Doton shield everyone wanks so much isn't in any position to tank hellstab, which is its elemental counter. There is no scenario where the 3rd loses to Kakuzu.

Although this matchup really depends on how hard his skin truly is U_U

If its not as hard as a boulder its not Tanking Gian

My bad, didn't notice it. His skin doesn't have to be hard enough to tank Gian. Kakashi countered it with Raikiri, Third Raikage should be capable of countering it with Jigokuzuki. Although I personally believe he can tank it, but I can't prove that with feats of course..

Eh, doubt it Raikiri stands for lightning Cutter, which is most likely how it was able to absorb Gian, as its a lightning bolt

Not every higher up technique can do that ...

Cast Net would have cut clean through a boulder, he only got large gashes in his skin. I think its clear which is harder.

If his body is compared with steel then why is this debate of "Is it harder than boulder" being had?

I hope the bold doesn't refer to steel, considering steel isn't meant to cut, not in the form they compared it to the Raikage. Cast Net only put gashes in his body and it can cut clean through a boulder. Meaning his body is harder than a boulder so he can tank Gian effortlessly.

I doubt the name implies anything other than the piercing capability of the jutsu. It also doesn't absorb Gian, since Kakashi has not demonstrated any absorption feats nor has he claimed he can absorb. In Part 1 Gai was bragging about how he could cut lightning bolts with Raikiri which may be foreshadowing this moment. However, Jigokuzuki has similar if not greater piercing capabilities, and was capable of piercing even the Third Raikage's skin effortlessly..

KidGamer removed any need of further explaining since he cleared up that Raikage can simply tank it.

Kakuzu can't even hurt him regardless of armor or not, and Ice already gave him the ability to use all his Raiton techniques, but he can't boost his speed and durability with them. Then there's the fact that he's physically strong enough to smash giant pillars with one punch, not like that matters though.

Take away the fact that they were boosted by the shroud, and that's still enough to dodge Kakuzu's linear bolts.

He's way more durable than Ay even w/ his armor on, and Ay took Chidori with only a flesh wound. Raikiri won't bridge the gap.

Heat resistance..no. But Katon shouldn't do anything significant to him.
