Minato/Sandaime Raikage both have matching reflexes as well as nearly matched speed. Only difference is that Sandaime Raikage is more adept at Ninjutsu, has a massive strength advantage, experience, and a massive stamina advantage. Sorry, Minato has a bag of tricks, but none are strong enough to win.

Makes me wonder though.....Nidaime Hokage fought Sandaime Raikage and survived, even with the elemental disadvantage. Just sayin', but that means he had a means to counter speed and reflexes on that level. I think this is a small bit of proof that he's able to fight extremely fast oppenents.

I don't remember Tobirama fighting the 3rd Raikage, he fought the Kin and Gin Bro's. Well, he and the 2nd Raikage were ambushed by them.

A Clean hit from the Rasengan will defiantly take out A and his Raiton shield, seeing as Sasuke can use a Lightning tech and break through it, Rasengan has been show to be alot stronger + No elemental disadvantage.. Raikage will defiantly make it hard for Minato to hit him, but Minato will defiantly outlast raikage due to very low chakra usage.

Keep hearing "Minato can do the exact thing Naruto did to break his shield"... People need to understand Raikage was being fully controlled by Kabuto at that time, who didn't know about his scar. With Raikage in full control, he wouldn't use the 1 finger hellstab when he has already injured by it against the Hachibi and was to embarrassed to tell anyone. Raikage can still use another variant of the finger hellstab, one which cant break through his armor. Or he could use another powerful Jutsu such as his Black Lightning. The "Minato can do the exact same thing as Naruto" excuse is getting old. Especially when Naruto had help finding his weakness and Raikage had no control over his actions.

It might not be fact, but it is very more than likely that he wouldn't use the 1 finger hell stab again. If something happens to you, and you are so embarrassed by it that you don't want to tell anyone (not even your own son) about it, you would make sure that incident never happens again right? Wouldn't you? I know I would.
Minato's best chance is to seal the 3rd Raikage using the death god, but people act as if that is guaranteed. The only time people have been caught have been people un-able to move. I cant see 3rd Raikage getting caught like that, especially with his Raiton armor.
Minato's has his VERY slight chances of winning, but overall 3rd Raikage has better chances. 3rd Raikage can still use another varient of his finger hell stab (such as 2 finger hell stab or 3 finger hell stab etc), one which can't pierce his armor. And like I said, he still has black lightning which he can use. Minato hasn't shown any durability feats which would force 3rd to use his most powerful attack.

This is a bad match up for Minato, the 3rd Raikage has 1 of the strongest defenses in narutoverse. He's much stronger than A, but he's slower i believe... Minato can dodge A, and he'll dodge the 3rd for sure.
Minato can't kill the 3rd cause of his crazy defense, and the 3rd can't kill Minato cause of FTG. They're better off deciding who wins with Rock, Paper, Scissors.

Even though he find out, it isn't easy because raikage won't do the same mistakes twice. He knows his weapon is dangerous, so he will use weaker weapon that strong enough to kill minato without high risk.. :flaw:

The third Raikage would almost definitely win. Minato fanboys are saying stuff like "we don't know the extent of Minato's power, we were never shown all his great techniques" well the same could be said of the third Raikage haha. In fact, we witnessed the fourth's most acclaimed techniques, namely the rasengan and the dead demon seal. We haven't even seen the raikage's black lightning, which he passed down only to Darui, and a multitude of other powerful techniques. In addition, the third fought a tailed beast alone and fainted, whereas Minato had Kushina's help against a tailed beast and ended up dying. Raikage for sure.
