All itachi needs is an eye contact, how is that not easy? not looking into itachi's eyes would give itachi a huge advantage, the 3rd is not Kabuto to block his vision, remember..? and he obviously isn't Guy to fight without looking into itachi's eyes, although.. the Manga didn't show us how Guy did it, how long the fight went? was it just a coincidence encounter with itachi? who lost and who won? none of that was explained in the Manga, so we can't be certain and say that the 3rd will do just the same. also, the 3rd isn't invincible against Genjutsu's, he'd be affected as much as the 4th got affected by Madara's paralyzing Genjutsu, hence what itachi's Genjutsu's can do to him, I advice you to read some previous posts before talking about overrating and underrating, 10 pages of some solid argument that gave itachi a lot of advantages over the 3rd.

Interesting match-up, but I'm afraid Itachi has more of a chance of winning against the 3rd Raikage, simply because of his Susano'o and genjutsu techniques.

However, that being said, the 3rd Raikage could destroy Itachi if his guard was down at any moment.

Itachi would win mid-high difficulty because there are a lot of moves that the 3rd simply has no counter for.

As for Raikage's speed advantage: Itachi>Sasuke in speed A>3rd in speed. Sasuke was able to keep up with A when A was using V1 lightning armour. I am sure Itachi could keep up with the 3rd who is only slower than the 4th.

As much as i'd love it to happen, and as hellish strong as the 3rd Raikages finger jutsu is, its not getting pass the impenetrable yata mirror, and his defense cant guard against an ethearal weapon.

The 3rd Raikage could beat almost anyone in the manga, but Itachi is a horrible matchup for him

Yata Mirror > Finger Jutsu
Totsuka Sword > Lightning Armour
Genjutsu > 3rd Raikage

All the rest of itachi's moves would be useless because of his lighting armour, so unless itachi has Rasengan, itachi's only chance is tsukuyomi, which hes not getting caught in easily

It has been said in manga that only the most powerfull Wind jutsus can damage him and his own jutsu,let alone he even tanked TBB.Itachi only has a chance with Tsukoyomi+Totsuga
while 3rd has a sh*tload of feats that Itachi cant withstand.
