3rd Raikage and Doton

I've been reading the war again and something just confused me. And sorry if it's been made but I didn't find it.

As Yamato explained, each element is weaker and stronger to an another element in the circle

So why in the world does the Raikage tells everyone but Doton users ( aka those who can't do shit to him ) to stay away as he his a Ration user?

And even durin the battle they say his only weak point is wind

Yet here again they decide to use Doton walls, which are obviously going to be way to weak to stop him, even if it was to stall for time, it didn't do crap and someone like Dodai should have known something as obvious

So , what was the big idea of making such use Doton in face of the most terrifying Raiton user of all time?

It was just to ensure a good defence. They already knew that Raiton > Doton, but I'm guessing at the time majority of the Shinobi there were Doton users..

I guess, but it still seems stupid to focus on the one element that will do nothing... A barrage of everything else would likely have been more useful...

People here still dont seem to get that doton is WEAK against raiton. So using doton as a defense against raiton is a BAD IDEA.

At least in the narutoverse. When you think about it, doton should be strong against raiton. Whens the last time you saw a lightning bolt hit the earth, and completely obliterate it? Not that lightning directly strikes the ground that often, but when it does, I'm pretty sure it just gets absorbed...

But anyway, the point still stands: putting all doton users against the raikage, when he apparently wanted to be beaten, was the complete opposite of what they should have done. What the raikage said was pretty much "everyone who cant do jack shit to stop me, stay and fight, everyone else go away. I'm in it to win it, bitches."

The only problem I see is that there aren't many defensive techs for the other elements. I mean, raiton is weak to fuuton, but they cant exactly put up a wall of air to stop his Jigokuzuki... Still, if you use narutoverse logic, Jigokuzuki would just rip right through any doton defense. So they were kinda screwed either way.

Kakuzu used iron skin as shield, and got pierced by Kakashi's raikira easily.
Raikage's tech>Kakashi's raikiri. So it's utterly stupid to use something that will get pierced within two sec and will cause landslices.
