The Third Kazekage (三代目風影, Sandaime Kazekage) was the leader of Sunagakure and was recognised as the village's strongest Kazekage. Little is known about him, including his name. Sasori of the Red Sand killed him and transformed him into a human puppet, becoming able to use his techniques and KG. Referred to as a very strong and powerful ninja, the Third Kazekage was a user of Magnet Release, having been born with the ability to imbue into his chakra magnetic properties. After observing the Shukaku and its Sand abilities, the Kazekage came up with the idea of using Iron Sand as his medium for his Magnet Release techniques. As such he became able to use his magnetic chakra to control the iron sand particles, mimicking the use of Sand by the Shukaku. A fearful ability on itself, its clear that the Kazekage was also an intelligent and skilled ninja, having been able to study the Shukaku's abilities and produce his own variation of it.

Third Kazekage's Abilities:​

• He has the Magnet Release KG and uses it for his trademark Iron Sand techniques
• He cannot use the generic applications of Magnet Release
• He can gather Iron Sand from the ground for his techniques but also bring his own with him.
