Yeh I think that was for the suprising entrance of Shisui's MS by Itachi breaking out of Edo. I think he only used it once and had bandages over his eye's then.

Yeh it is fact. He used it at the 5 Kage summit and he was ready to use it again on either Tobi or Sasuke. And that wasn't that long afterwards.

I don't think danzou had those eyes in his prime. But this is just a speculation.

a) Manga characters stating that Hiruzen was the best shinobi during his time.
b) Calling him the professor for knowing over 1000 jutsus (incl. forbidden) - who knows out of those 1000 jutsus what can do what? How do we know that one of the jutsus Hiruzen knew could cancel genjutsu effects for example? We don't know that, it is just speculation, but keep in mind that he did know over 1000 jutsus.

It doesn't matter how strong you are, you can't cancel kotoamatsuki because you don't even know you are in it......Itachi was a genjutsu master, and couldn't do sht.....
