:shrug: It was never said we're judging them in their prime. I would say either 3rd Raikage or Onoki. I don't know how Onoki's dust cube will affect the Raikage though.

Guys surely u would have noticed by now that the manga is very complex and kishi makes his characters have incorrect knowledge at times, even lie.

For example its was known by the 5th muizkage gaurds that sasuke killed zabura when he didnt.

Tobi told sasuke he did cause thr fox attack on konoha but we know he did.

Tobi said hes madara but hes not.

There many examples of this.

YOu have to consider the characters crebility to determine what is relaiable info. SOmething that kishi went into with how anbu handle their missions etc..


Its sounds ur selling kishi's work short to me.

Also if your gonna say the third hokage is the strongest hokage based from Izuka then why is kishi contricting himself with the entire part 2 of the series as Hasihrama is regarded as the greatest shinobi that everyone wants his powers.

Guys kishi makes his characters condirict themselves to set for an epic story telling experience. This creates plot twists etc.. So u shouldnt just take some random shinobi like Izuka to start undermining the hokages before the 3rd particluarly , hasihrama.

For example Tobi regarded hasihrama the strongest of his time. Thats signifact given tobi's powers and place in the story.

Jiraiya regarded Minato a genius only seen onece a decade. Again given Jiraiya place in the story u can say Jiraiya knew what hes talking about.

Itachi, Kisame,nagato, minato even Orocihmaru all acknoledged Jiraiya's proess as a shinobi.


Compare these statements to Izuka then u'll see what I;m talking about when it comes to a characters credibilty in the manga.

I'm going with a tie between the third Raikage and the hokage. The Raikage was able to take on the 8 tails but the hokage at his old age was taking on the kyuubi. Not by himself but it was his jutsu that made the kyuubi withdraw. He at his old age did take on his successors and his student. I don't think they were as powerful as kabuto's edo tensei.

Sarurobi in his 50 had the power that was probably never seen Oro himself knew that when he was in his prime that even he himself in his prime stood not a chance in hell.

The Raikage withstood a frs. That is one of the most powerful techniques seen without a kkgk. The most powerful element jutsu besides his own one finger lightning cutter. The frs even knocked the kyuubi on his ass.

Hiruzen was without a doubt the strongest of his generation. Several people in the manga have confirmed this. Even the freakin Databook says so. I dont think this is even debatable seeing that the Databook clearly states that Hiruzen was the stongest.

It is difficult to think that there could be someone that was stronger than the 3rd Raikage. That just shows how insanely powerful Hiruzen must of been. No wonder he shared the SO6P's title as the God of Shinobi.

Out of the th 3rd generation of kages who do you think is the best.

Onoki- Fought madara,older than sarutobi and still putting in work. Has the dust element including three other elements(fire,wind,earth). Longest living kage.

Sarutobi- Learned a lot of ninjutsu, Called the god of shinobi( thats what someone else saidnot sure where they said it in the manga) The teacher of the legendary sannin.

Thrd raikage- Tied with a bijuu, ten thousand ninja had to fight him for 3 days to kill him.
Dad of the 4th raikage obvioously taught him too. Probably trained Bee too im not sure.

Tied between Sarutobi and 3rd Raikage! I mean like 3rd Raikage Armor or Durability is so crazy! He had like Steel Skin! And Sarutobi range of Jutsus and to be able to take on Two Hokages at once was amazing! Oonoki idk I like his Dust Element cuz its like a amazing Jutsu to kill people in a instant. He could take on the 3rd Raikage and use the Dust Element to Destroy him. But Sarutobi would be my best bet since he was able to take on 2hokages and a sannin at one time in old age! And one of the Kages defeated Madara. While Oonoki can't even take on Madara in old age and Madara was defeated by Hashirama who lost to Sarutobi lol!
But then again Orochimaru could of had a disadvantage since its not the actual Kages fighting Sarutobi but a empty minded person. SO they couldn't use thur intelligence to the fullest

Then why would the Databook say Hiruzen was the strongest?

Hiruzen had immense chakra reserves and a ton of jutsu's and he seemed to have been pretty badass at Taijutsu even in his old age. Versatility is one of the greatest weapons and that must have been one of Sarutobi's greatest attributes seeing as he knew so many jutsus. The Raikage is only strong when it comes to his physical prowess and his lightning abilities. When it comes to physical damage the Raikage seems indestructible but if there is a jutsu that could defeat the Raikage in a non-physical way then Sarutobi would probably know it. There's more than one way to skin a cat. Something difficult becomes easy when you have the right tool for the job. Sarutobi had all the tools.

Its like rock-paper-scissors and the Raikage can only play rock. And Sarutobi can play any of the three.
