He handed the title of hokage to him in the first place.

It was about the title God of shinobi not who actually is the God of shinobi. Do some of you even read the manga? Of course they aren't the strongest but all 3 men were the only ones to have that title and they are together. It is something special IMO. Who would have ever thought that those 3 would meet?
