The sharingan meaning Copy wheel eye is one of the three Great Dojutsu. the other two is Byakugan and Rinnegan. It has the ability to see chakra flow. the eye gives a colour to chakra allowing the wielder to differentiate them. this ability is called Eye of insight. This also have the ablility to see if someone is under a genjutsu because then the chakra flow would be irregular. The second ability grants the user an incradible clearity of perception thus giving them the power to recoginze genjutsu and diffrent chakraforms. this ability also allows the user to pick up subtle details enabeling them to read lip movements and/or mimic something like pencilmovements. As your sharingan gains more tomoes this ability improves untill it gives the wielder such clarity that he/she can predict an enemys attacks, allowing them to see an enemys next move from the slightest muscle tension in their body. but even if you can see the attack, it doesnt mean that you can always have time to react. Sharingans last ability is to copy almost any technique that it sees. as long as its not a kekkei genkai or summons that requires a contract.
The final ability is that the sharingan can put someone under hypnosis simply if the person looks the wielder in the eye(s). More advanced and experienced sharingan wielders can even hypnotise Summonings like Manda or even a tailed beast and controll them.

Stages: there are five stages of the sharingan.
1 tomoe: allows the user to see chakra flow and see through genjutsu up to D rank.
2 tomoe: allows the user to see chakra flow and see through genjutsu up to C rank.
3 tomoe: allows the user to see chakra flow and see through genjutsu up to B rank(i think) and to Copy techniques. Mangekyo Sharingan: Is a powerfull sharingan that gives the wielder the ability to use Susanno and other techniques like Tsukiyomi, Amaterasu or Kamui. overuse of this eye makes you go blind
Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan i think the same as MS but you dont go blind and can use it as much as you want. but you have to steal someones MS in order to get this eye.

Tell me more about genjutsu it's difference between a regular and a sharingan genjutsu

Regular genjutsu are diffrent but some of them require handseal(s). with the Sharingan you can cast a genjutsu on an oponent by simply making eye contact.

With the Sharingan you can also use "Genjutsu reversal" and use someones genjutsu against them.

With advanced MS genjutsu's like "tsukiyoumi" you can even controll time and space in the genjutsu and make the enemy feel that he/she has been there for days/weeks/months/years when in reality only a second has passed.

Description:
One of the Three Great Dōjutsu (San Daidōjutsu), the Sharingan is the kekkei genkai of the Uchiha clan. Unlike the other Dōjutsu, not all members of the Uchiha Clan possess the Sharingan. This great Dōjutsu seems to awaken only on exceptional Uchiha members and only in times of great stress. Once awaken, the pupil turns red and a single tomoe (巴) seal appears around the center pupil. As the user masters and evolves their eyes, the tomoe (巴) seals increase, topping 3 per eye. The main ability of the Sharingan, like any other Dōjutsu, is to enable the user to see the flow of chakra. This ability is further improved as the Sharingan gives color to chakra, enabling the user to differentiate chakras from different people or from different sources. Although the user can see chakra through matter, he cannot see beyond dense matter or in long distances. Coupled with the ability to see chakra, Sharingan users gain acess to an incredible clarity of perception that enables them to read insanely fast movements or minor details, enabling them the ability to foresee in an easier way, traps, incoming attacks, etc. This clarity of perception is so great that a Sharingan user can sometimes start performing a counter to an attack that is still being performed, enabling the counter to be launched only a split a second after the attack. This clarity of perception leaves Sharingan users able to track high speed movement easily as well as to read through handseals. This last ability enables them to learn techniques much faster and sometimes copy them directly from the enemy, as long as the user has the necessary chakra affinities and requirements to perform it. Finally, the Sharingan is often linked to Genjutsu and mind-manipulating illusions, mostly because the user can, mostly through Eye Contact, directly and precisely use his chakra to manipulate the enemy's chakra flow. In return, the users clarity of perception gives him the ability to more easily decipher visual illusions cast upon him and see past them. The Sharingan has a great cost to the user though. The chakra consumption disables its use for long periods of time and, even when the user grows stronger, it's still hard to keep it active for long periods of time.
Note: The user, if he hasn't gained full mastery over his Sharingan, will need to spend a move to activate it, although as long as he has chakra and enough stamina he'll be able to keep it active until the end of the match. If the user is Sannin Rank or above and has gained his 3 Tomoe Sharingan and held it for one month, he becomes able to passively activate it, meaning he'll no longer spend a move of his 3 per turn.
Note: To avoid direct Eye Contact and be able to focus only on the body movement below the chin, the opponent needs to have mastered Taijutsu to possess the necessary skill.
Note: Predicting the nature of a technique or what it exactly is requires the user to either know the technique or that its a cannon technique.
Note: Danzo and Kakashi bios activate the Sharingan by removing the covers in their respective eyes and suffer a +10 chakra consumption per turn penalty
Note: The user is bound by the abilities and limits of the stage of sharingan he possesses, stated in the rules of the KG.

After Vision sensei Disappears Kakashi grabs the left side of his headband and pulls it up, revealing his 1 tomoe Sharingan. He begins searching the area, looking for sensei's chakra. He scans the area, searching for chakra. he scans the right side, left side, above him and below him. After his brief search of the ground to find his sensei, Kakashi finds a faint trace of chakra, he follows the faint trace of chakra almost barely and comes to notice that it leads towards a nearby forest, Kakashi makes his way towards the forest and proceeds to scan the entire area with his sharingan, luckily enough he catches a glimpse of the faint source of chakra and it seems to be rather larger at that certain point, however since he cannot differentiate between the different chakra's and flows of chakra as of yet, Kakashi goes and investigates, but as he closes in on the source of chakra it starts to move, using the perception abilities and tracking speed of the sharingan, Kakashi makes an attempt to follow the sources every movement as to perfectly follow it and naturally catch up to it in a later stage, He dashes behind the source following every exact movement as he could perceive with his eyes until he catches to the source, after several minutes of sprinting and searching through the woods, Kakashi catches up to the source of chakra and comes to find that its his Sensei...

After finding the rabbit Kakashi gets a bit annoyed. He takes a deep breath and begin running through the forest, scanning his left, right, above & below as he runns. after a few minutes he begins zig zagging through the forest and finally he catches a glimpse of a small trace of chakra. He follows it and it gets bigger & bigger. behind a great oak tree he can smell annother human. the chakra trace ends there and so he walks over there and see's....

Once the clone disperses, Emma knows exactly where you are. As it feeds the ifnormation back to her. She realizes that you are struggling and the distance apart is growing.

Seeing the clone dissapear Kakashi takes a few deep Breaths and after that he begins the chase again running through the Forrest while scanning everything around him with his Sharingan. After about 15 minutes of running through the forest, zig zaging around he finally catches a glimpse of chakra about 15 meters to his left. He runns towards It and Follows the small chakra trace. After a few minutes of running the chakra trace ends infront of a great tree. He looks to his left , right and below but finds nothing. only one place left. he looks up and finds Emma sitting on top of the tree

After that he takes a few deeep breaths with his nose, trying to catch your smell. He picks up a small trace and rushes towards it. With his Sharingan activated he scans every crag and corner he see's as he Zig-zags through the forest. He scans the ground below him, the air above him, the tree's on his sides and infront of him. After about 10 minutes of running through the forest he finally catches a glimpse of a small chakra trace. He quickly runns towards it and follows it. after about 5 minutes of following he reaches the end of the forest and infront of him lies a wide grassfield and a small lake. the chakra trace ends near the lake so he walks towards it, looks down and inside the lake he spots Emma.
