Madara walks forward, seemingly appearing from the wind itself, and walks up to short range of Obito. Looking at Obito, Madara ponders the young boy's future, his eyes narrowing as he looks at him.
"Obito..what drives you? Why are you here? What do you think you will accomplish?"

The wind flowing through their black hairs, the two Uchiha confront each other. Obito looked at his mentor, expressionless as it seems behind the mask, however a serious face lying behind it.
"Madara..."
"My hatred for this trashy reality is what brought me here... I want to achieve the fearsome power of the sharingan, and further threating this hopeless world... I'm sure you will understand, you are I are alike"

Madara had an inkling of what he meant, but he wanted to hear Obito's view of this.

If you still have unclear thoughts regarding this, then would you care to explain me why you are one of the most wanted ninja in this world? They want you dead, of course... In order to halt other advanced threats you make. Madara, I will continue on your legacy... if you lend me the power of Sharingan, that is."
Of course Obito was lying about the last part, however, even if he knew this guy can't easily get fooled, Obito had to try...

The deceit could be seen through even without Madara's Sharingan. Carefully chosen words, false sincerity, and the idea of praise - he could tell the ninja had studied the tools of warfare intimately. However, it was also clear that the boy was rushing, his approach sloppy. He hadn't waited until Madara's guard had lowered, making it easier to see through.
"Continue my legacy? What do you know of my legacy? What do you know about this world, young Uchiha? I've seen much greater men than yourself attempt to raise to the occasion and all failed; what makes you so different? " Madara interrogated him, eyeing him intently.
"You talk about my legacy but what of this clan's legacy? What do you know about our heritage?"
