Mizukage's gen can creat a mirage


I didn't see the mirage attacking anyone in the manga
But I was wondering about this :

I noticed that the mirage actually attacked some shinobis of the 4th division
I mean he even broke gaara's sand

My question is when did 2nd Mizukage broke Gaara's defense exactly
I readed the chapters many times but I didn't think I have seen the mirage attacking


How the fuk can a mirage attack ?

Then why is it that when they found the clam a mile away hiding behind some rock formations, Mizukage was sitting ontop of it?

Also, the mirage was aware that Gaara's sand had found them.

So if Mizukage was hanging around Gaara, then how did he know that Gaara's sand/Onoki found him so far away? How did he get to his clam so quickly if he was near Gaara?

The Mizukage could've quickly return back to his clam to deal with Onoki or simply be shooting from a distance the whole time.

I believe you're referring to Gaara's sand sensing method?
Well, he can't cover the whole place with sand. I guess he was too busy searching the outskirts of the battlefield, which was the most logical place where to look for the clam.

Edit: it seems like he used suiton or oil attacks on gaara's sand

The mirage was talking to Gaara when he realized Gaara's sand found the real Mizukage. That's the real flaw to your argument.

Even then, look at the bottom right corner. Onoki destroying the clam alerted everyone to where Mizukage was hiding and it was quite some distance away.

Perhaps, using the clam's mist as a medium not only for his genjutsu but to attack with?

That's not weird ._.
The clam was yet to be destroyed when Gaara first sensed it, the genjutsu was still on.
Anyway, the Mizukage is a long ranged fighter. Couldn't he just remote control and attack with a little bit of his water/oil? Gaara was able to carry Onoki in his sand, which should be a more difficult task considering the added weight.
