This theory is about Nidamei's fighting style and jutsu.
okay ill now list a few known facts about the 2nd he seems to be to kick ass to be doomed as the fodder hokage and being the 1st's brother he definately seems powerful
and the guy mastered the element of suiton.
it was said in the databooks he had a more superior fighting style than shodai the 1st hokage
he was a part of the Senju clan
and that we know he was constantly fighting the uchiha clan and their sharingan.(obviously he had something that helped him counter sharingan or he would be dead long before he became hokage)
i beleive the 2nd hokage would be a excelent fighter against any uchiha and now i will explain why, first his fighting style was suiton so he has the elemental advantage over the uchiha's base element katon next his fighting style in its self.. his water based jutsu gave him mid-range to long-range jutsu his waterwall-jutsu stopped sarubtobi's giant fire dragon flame jutsu with little effort(strongest katon i have seen in the manga so far) and if we go further with his water abilitys and take for example that zabuza's and kisames water prison jutsu were created by hardening the water with chakra and making the prison hard as concrete we can take a deeper insight in the nidamei's water jutsu capabilities.. imagine water as hard as concrete.. with nidamei's chakra this could be possible also he mastered suiton and another thing performing a 44 seal water dragon jutsu in 2 hand seals thats insane(how on earth did he pull this feat off)as we know his brother was the shodai he would also know one of the best ways to stop sharingan i have seen so far infinite darkness jutsu he or shodai used on sarutobi zero visibilty.(sharingan useless only can see chakra when he uses it)
and now for his tai-jutsu style if he obviously fought uchia's all the time he would have created a way of fighting them without falling prey to the sharingan.i believe he used his water style jutsu to stop their nin-jutsu's maybe if they tried gen-jutsu he had some way to counter it(i think somthing along the lines as Gai's method of not looking into there eyes) and if they used tai-jutsu they are finished i believe this was his ace in the hole he used a short range fighting style with quick fluid tai-jutsu(kind of based this of the narutimate taisen games seems likely) that would even have an uchiha's sharingan outmatched using water justus in close quarters(if they were as hard as concrete) would be pretty deadly and increase his tai-jusu immensely after all who do you think who was fighting all the other uchiha's when the 1st hokage was fighting uchiha madara none other than the 2nd hokage and the senju clan not to say madara wouldnt curb-stomp his ass with his lightning affinity(elemental disadvantage),kyuubi(madara's pet),Ems(spam mangekyou sharingan jutsu's like crazy),his other total Hax jutsu's(which is why shodaimei was always fighting him instead of nidamei)
and there you have it my short theory on the 2nd hokage Nidamei. I also belive this is why he was made the 2nd hokage to stop any uprising the uchiha clan(if they ever did decide to try to take over konoha)
