Hey guys, when you play 2D fighting games, what do you guys use to move your characters? D-pad or Analog stick?

Edit: Damn, the title shouldn't say controller in it but D-pad

D-pad = quicker dash, more accurate inputs.

I use the d-pad for some moves. I'll switch to the analog for other moves. Ex. Oni's electric hadouken-analog/ Shoruyken-d-pad.

I use the D-pad mostly, since there's less chance of your finger slipping and the input is much more instant. It seems to be much more precise as well, compared with trying to execute a combo using the analog stick.

A fight stick is infinitely better than a regular console controller. Takes a bit of getting used to, but it's definitely worth it. xD

It's easier to control the direction of the attack with the D-pad, sometimes in games with ******* command lists like Mortal Kombat I might use it, sometimes.
