I've just read another thread about Tobi not being Obito, because of an apparent age difference the time that Tobi attacked Konaha using Kurama. I think that Tobi may have possessed Obito's body using some type of Transmigration Jutsu, which is vaguely similar to Orochimaru's to say the very least. It would only make sense, seeing as Tobi's obsession with Sasuke's development is just as significant to himself, as it was to Orochimaru. Never neglecting that Tobi could have kept in touch with Oro after he defected from Akatsuki... Both may have been searching for an Uchiha prospect in Sasuke's growth, due to the unstable white fluid exposed by Minato's rasengan and Orochimaru's collection of unstable vessels afflicting his health over a short period of time. With Orochimaru's return, I'm almost certain that there are more discoveries about a discreet connection between them, outside of Akatsuki's objectives. Itachi failed to shield Sasuke from Tobi's dark influence. We can't really say why exactly, because it wasn't really explained in detail by Itachi himself. Sasuke could just be a pawn in Tobi's eye of the moon plan. But, Sasuke hasn't really contributed anything to either side (as of lately). I'm just in a grey area as to why Tobi would push to develop Sasuke's abilities as a promising Uchiha. I think Kishimoto is going to blow everyone's brain cells into nothingness. If Tobi is indeed not Obito...
